This activity may not be registered for individually because it is part of a package.A local favorite for many years, Seaside Day Camp is held at the newly renovated Scout House at Glen Park, Cardiff ?by-the Sea. Have your child experience the local wonder of the great outdoors through Encinitas parks, trails, ocean and wild life. Our caring and experienced camp staff share the goal of providing a fun and safe environment that helps nurture the social, physical, educational and emotional wellbeing of each child. Campers will enjoy a healthy daily snack and a weekly field trip in addition to all the fun activities that are offered throughout the week. Please join us this summer there are several great memories just waiting to be made at Seaside Day Camp! Seaside Day Camp hours of operation are 9 am ? 3 pm. Kid's Campout with the Prickly Pear Living History Museum - San Antoni
Do you want to help your kids build a connection to nature, but aren’t sure how? Do you struggle to get them away from screens? On March 19th and 20th Government Canyon State Natural Area and the Prickly Pear Living History Museum will be co-hosting a camping event for kids ages 10-16 and their parents. No screens allowed, but no one will be bored. Instead, we’ll talk about how local Native Americans survived and thrived in the same places we now call our home. For hands-on learning we’ll have reproduction tools, weapons, and natural resources for everyone to explore. Along the way, kids discover how to be hike leaders and why it’s important to be good caretakers of the land. We’ll provide most of the equipment. Maximum of two kids and two adults per group, so that more kids can enjoy the experience. Space is limited to 12 people. RESERVATIONS REQUIRED! Our last event filled up fast. Week 3 PM - Fly Fishing - NESS
Come join NESS to learn about the fantastic sport of fly fishing. Saltwater fly fishing is used to target a variety of species available depending on the season. Striped bass and bluefish are local all summer, with the occasional transient like banded rudder fish and jack crevalle. Learn saltwater specific fly fishing techniques to fish your local waters. Gain experience in casting, tackle and fly selection, rigging, fish fighting and proper release techniques. This activity demands specific methods and large areas of space so enrollment is limited. Students should bring their own fishing rods and tackle ready for use. Some NESS rods are available and bait will be provided, please call to inquire. Join the BYU Cougars for great soccer action headed by BYU womens soccer head coach Jennifer Rockwood and BYU mens soccer head coach Chris Watkins. Also on staff are current and former BYU soccer standouts from both nationally ranked programs. Campers will learn the basics of footwork, dribbling, passing, shooting and heading.
