Ice Town- Carlsbad - Ice Town Carlsbad
Registrations are now being accepted for Ice Town Carlsbad: Sunday March 20th April: 3, 10, 17, 24 May: 1 from 11:30am- 12:30pm 2016 Lil Kings Program requirements: Participant must be between the ages of 4-8 as of March 12th, 2016. 2013, 2014, and 2015 Lil Kings participants are not eligible. Participant must have no prior ice hockey experience. This program is for first time players only. CCM equipment will be professionally fitted and picked up at the Official Lil Kings fitting event. Additional details on the official Lil Kings fitting event will be sent out after your registration is confirmed. The LA Kings highly recommend skating lessons before the Lil Kings event. Please contact your local ice rink for details on learn to skate programs. WHAT IS Amplify Sleep Away Rock Camp? Amplify Sleep Away Rock Camp is an intensive one-week overnight program offered to girls ages 10-17 years old and is held at Ojai Valley Boarding School in Ojai, CA. Here girls of all skill levels have the opportunity to learn guitar, bass, drums, vocals, keys or other instruments. Girls will also form a band, write an original song, and perform at the Final Showcase for friends, families, and fans! In addition to all this, girls will have the opportunity to meet other girls and female musicians and mentors, as well as participate in enrichment activities such as workshops on media literacy or screen-printing, high ropes course, Dj-skills, Zine making and more. GRSB! welcomes campers that identify as female, trans, and gender-nonconforming. LESSONS Participants choose one instrument to focus on for the week–drums, bass, guitar, vocals, keyboards, or DJ. All instruction takes place in small group lessons and is led by experienced and enthusiastic female musicians. BAND PRACTICE The bands have band practice every day. Disc golf, also known as Folf, is a flying disc game, as well as a precision and accuracy sport, in which individual players throw a flying disc at a target, The object of the game is to traverse a course from beginning to end in the fewest number of throws of the disc.The game is played in about 40 countries around the world. OTL Script[ed] a six-week screenwriting workshop where youll get an introduction to the fundamental concepts of screenwriting: reading and analyzing professional screenplays; reading, analyzing, and critiquing your classmates work; and, most importantly, writing an original screenplay. You will outline, write, and revise a short script (6-12 pages) with the goal to be screen ready! Youll be writing and reading on your own outside of the weekly sessions, bringing your observations, ideas, and new work with you to the group.
