Field Trip Camp - with Mr. Earl - Jefferson County Parks and Recreation Commission
Field Trips will leave at different times. Drop-off at the Jefferson County Community Center will be at 9:00 a.m. for the trips on Monday thru Thursday. Friday?s trip to Hershey Park will leave from the JCCC at 7am and will return at 6:30pm. Some trips may not leave until later or may leave as early as 9:15 a.m. During wait time for bus departure and drop off, games and other activities will be provided for the children until they are boarded. Pick-up for campers will be at 4:00 p.m. All trips are transported by Jefferson County School Buses. Campers will be required to bring special items each day. Campers must bring a packed lunch to camp each day, and wear sneakers, along with a snack and plenty of water. Other examples include: swimwear, extra cash for concessions/souvenirs, sunscreen, etc. Parents/Guardians who would like to volunteer to assist with the camp must pay their own fees for entry for each field trip. Parents/Guardians will need to submit a volunteer background check by July 10, 2013 in order to attend any trip. Cost includes tickets and admission for all trips daily. Farm Hands 2nd & 3rd Grade (AM Session) - Weir River Farm
Farm Hands Camp is one of our most popular programs all year and we know why. Whether it is mucking out the stalls, collecting eggs, working in the garden or learning how to halter a sheep, there is never a dull moment on the farm! Although activities can vary depending on the day and age of the participants, we always try to instill the message that we are responsible for our own health, the health of our animals and for the care of this special place. Each day your child can expect to participate in chores in both the barnyard and garden. Of course, no Farm Hands experience would be complete without making new friends, games and nibbling fresh veggies fresh from the garden. We offer two types of programs. First, we have age specific programs. These sessions are a good fit for children that have attended camp year in and year out and like to have different age appropriate themes that build each year. They are also a great opportunity for children to meet other campers that are the same age and may be in school or other community programs with them. EVOLVE HOCKEY ELITE MINI CAMP Elite Mini-Camp will include three mornings of high intensity hockey for those hockey players that are dedicated and can handle the fast pace of professional hockey training! Each day players will engage in 2.5 hours of on ice intense hockey sessions! Players will also work on their speed, strength and agility at The Forum.
