Kid's Culinary Day Camp at LeTourneau Christian Center - Rushville, NY
Kid's Culinary Day Camp at LeTourneau is a wonderful opportunity for kids ages five to thirteen to experience the culinary arts in an exciting and safe Christian environment. Kids Culinary Day Camp includes all of the following exciting aspects of the culinary arts: an introduction to the culinary arts, food safety, cooking, food tastings, crafts and games. We also offer a Bible Study time to explore how God uses "food" to teach us eternal truths. Kids ages five to eight will meet Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am until 11:30 am. While kids ages nine to thirteen will meet from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm. All participants will receive a free chef's hat and specially designed t-shirt. It happened so fast! Only two months till Illage Summer Camp Year SIX! Can't believe it! We have so much magic in store for you this year at Camp! SO MUCH!! An idea that has been burning in our brains for a few years will finally spill into the steep, hilly forests of West Virginia this August. Save the date, we'll be taking over the insane Roseland Resort for a weekend bonanza of pool parties, camp fires, club ragers and weirdo sunrise woodland excursions together. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR NOW: - Roseland has a 20 year tradition of being a clothing optional, men-only resort. We must respect the rules of the space and adhere to this for the 2015 edition. We will work towards a larger idea in the future. - We have held ALL of the cabins and best tent camp sites on the resort property in a discounted Honcho block. You will get 10% off all lodging. Ideally, we are looking for dynamic individuals who share a passion for camp, a love of working and who are seeking a deeper relationship with Jesus. It is important to keep in mind that this job in its simplest form is servant leadership. It is tiring, sometimes trying, and our focus as staff should not be on ourselves but on our campers. As staff of Cathedral Ridge summer camps, we are also representatives of the Episcopal Church in Colorado, and are working in a ministry that many people believe to be incredibly important in our Diocese. While the job of a camp counselor is not for the weary, it can be a very rewarding and enlightening experience. The Lab will offer a quiet place where students can complete homework, ask questions, work on projects, or just study for quizzes and tests.
