Teachers trained in the Wilson Reading System (a research based skill-building program) offer this systematic approach to building reading skills as well as math skills, methods and practice. Nurture your childs fascination with the earths creatures. Summer Sprouts will spend the week discovering and learning about the animals that hop, swim, fl y, and crawl through the fields and forests of Rockwood Park. What creatures lurk in the waters of Cedar Run? Campers will explore the puddles, ponds and swamps of the Refuge. Well follow a frogs footsteps, find bug-eating plants and see what else awaits us in the heart of Pond Paradise. Participants must be able to swim 50 yards of front crawl as well as 50 yards of breaststroke in good form. American Red Cross Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors will lead participants through two water sessions per day which will include group lectures on Aquatics Safety as well as introductions to Aquatic Sports. On the last day, participants will have the opportunity to use our giant inflatables and will take part in a Junior Lifeguarding Competition.
