Cedar Run also provides a weekly drop-in day camp for the commitment-challenged campers. This classic day camp is chock full of camp activities including nature education, animal encounters, art, games and enjoying the outdoors. This camp is available on Wednesdays from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM to children ages 6-10. If your child (or you) are hesitant about the idea of summer camp or just have one day to spend with us this summer, this is a perfect way to get a taste! Pricing is $50/per child, per day. This workshop explores Shakespeare in an intimate and accessible way through passion, imagination, and language. You will gain a deeper understanding of the plays, the motives behind them and the characters. Students will learn how to play basic drum, guitar, bass and piano riffs to various lyric-appropriate (parent-approved) rock/pop songs of their choice. Classes will include ear training, learning to read music notation, instrumental techniques, viewing music video clips for inspiration, and more! No experience necessary, but welcomed! Instruments will be provided to share, but bring any that you have from home. Time will be allotted each day for a snack and water break. A short performance will take place on Friday at the end of class from 11:40-Noon where students will have the opportunity to sing and/or play different instruments for the songs we have been developing throughout the week. 20% sibling discount.
