This girls-only camp is a favorite camp for my 12 year old daughter. There are a variety of day and week long camps offered; each according to a girl’s age. Girls have lots of choices with this camp. LITTLE BANDS CAMP! Grades 3-12. Campers will learn and perform ?The Eruption of the Great Volcano?, an exciting original musical composed by Josh Grekin. Everyone will learn to play instruments and even write and perform their own songs which we will add to the show! In a Little Bands musical, the characters are all musicians and the actors accompany each other on the instruments as they sing, act and dance. Whether you are already advanced, or just beginning, everyone will learn vocal lessons and skills on piano, guitar, bass and drums. We have a great time learning together and working up to perform this amazing musical the last two days of camp. Beginners to advanced students are all welcome! Take Level 1 in one week! Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday In this class you are introduced to all the fundamental skills of improvising, while improving your ability to listen and explore the power of building off of other peoples ideas. Level 1 is a survey of the entire program, exposing you to the elements of scene work and the various skills involved in creating well-acted, comedic improvisation. Passing Criteria: Students must demonstrate that their listening has improved over the course of the term and that they are willing to build off of their partners ideas, in addition to having gained some proficiency with the technical aspects of actually doing so on stage.
