Welcome to the 2016 Spotsylvania Sheriff's Office Youth NFL Football Camp. Sheriff Roger L. Harris, 2X Super Bowl Champion Gary Clark formerly of the Washington Redskins and Tessa Wilborne and Jamie Brown of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices would like to invite your child to an NFL experience of a LIFETIME !! Cost: FREE WHO CAN ATTEND: Spotsylvania residents ages 6 to 18 years of age. WHERE DO I REGISTER MY CHILD: Each participating child must register at www.yourNFLexperience.com Registration will start promptly at 8AM each day at the entrance of the football stadium with the camp starting at 9AM. Your child must be picked up by 1PM at the same location. WHAT WILL YOUR CHILD NEED TO BRING: All participants are required to wear either rubber based cleats or tennis shoes and bring a water bottle. Water will be provided and replenished all day. If your child requires an inhaler, please have them bring it. Medical staff will be on hand each day. (FSCA) Florida Sportsmen's Conservation Association 16th Annual Outdoor Youth Day Our Annual event is scheduled for February 6,2016 at the Everglades Youth Camp in J W Corbett WMA. We are expecting over 1,500 children of all ages to come and enjoy various activities. In an effort to reduce the increasing decline of our children's interest in the outdoors, FSCA has created an Outdoor Youth Day. Outdoor Youth Day is a Program specifically designed to educate children to many different recreational activities available in our natural areas but munch more importantly have some fun outdoors. This is the 16th Annual Outdoor Youth Day event and It’s FSCA biggest day of the year. Youth Day has buggy rides, canoeing, pony rides, airboat rides and displayed, archery, gun range instruction, fishing and wildlife shows to reach kids of all ages and show them the benefits of being outdoors instead of in front of a TV. Join Smart with Art as we discover sea-life creatures and explore the ocean with clay! We will create a bookend influenced by Edward Hoppers art, including a relief lighthouse design. We will work with glass pieces and clay, as we create a slab box based on Hokusais The Great Wave painting. We will learn about creating coils in clay as we design a tile with a sea creature of our choice. Exploring pinch pots techniques, students will design a bigmouth fish creation. We will also dive into a multi-medium work of art that combines an acrylic painting and a clay under the sea work of art. Join us as we explore the sea and set sail in clay with Smart with Art. In this brief course we will review the evolution of photography from its beginnings to the digital cameras of today. Along the way, youll be introduced to some of the most influential individuals who played an important role leading to the creation of modern photography. We will discuss how painting influenced photography and how photography influenced painting. In just three sessions, well have a chance to see the oldest surviving photographs, Daguerreotypes, Silver Nitrate prints, early color photographs, modern pixel- based images and much more.
