NOAA Science Camp Session II - NOAA - Sandpoint Campus
Held at NOAAs facility at Seattles Sand Point, these five-day summer camp sessions offer opportunities for prospective sixth, seventh and eighth graders to explore marine sciences and have fun at the same time. Participants are introduced to earth and ocean sciences and to science careers through hands-on activities emphasizing solutions to real-world problems. 206-543-2822
JUMP START SPORTS- CHEERLEADING CAMP (HALF-DAY) - Ben Robertson Community Center
Campers will learn a variety of cheers, jumps, kicks and movements. We?ll also play fun cheerleading games and decorate crazy uniforms to wear at an exhibition on the last day of camp. Cheerleading camp provide children a highly active endeavor in a non-competitive environment that fosters fun and the development of friendships. Join anytime during the week (fee will be pro-rated). Supplies: Campers should bring a snack and beverage and plenty of water each day. All campers should arrive at camp with sunscreen already applied, as well as with additional sunscreen, as needed. Creative Design & Build - The Swain School
In this session in the Makerspace we will combine two great activities - both provide the camper to express their creativity with tile and glass. Using broken tile pieces, the children will create and build a small mosaic tile table. Then with stained glass they will have a choice to make items such as boxes or sun catchers. For 2-5 year olds, this weekly class combines creative movement with story time! Its a fun learning experience that builds language acquisition, developmental movement, conceptual understanding, personal expression, social skills, and creative problem solving. We will use our bodies with assistance from our expanding imaginations to move through stories to reinforce verbal literacy through the young childs strong kinesthetic intelligence. Adults are welcome to wait in a nearby classroom ( with wifi!) during the class, and will be invited in for a sharing day on the 4th and 7th class of each session. all prices include $10 registration fee Important Notice from UCAL: At the end of your registration process through the Active system, you will be offered a 30-day free trial of something called the Active Advantage program.
