The MacRostie Art Center work/study program for teen artists increases accessibility to our educational programming for teens while providing opportunity to experience real-world visual art administration and will look great on any resume or college application. Teen artists may choose to focus on experience in exhibitions and curatorial work, art education, event planning, or any other aspect of what the MAC does for the art community. This opportunity is open to artists ages 15-18. For every 6 hours worked, students will receive a $60 voucher towards the tuition of any MacRostie art workshop to be used in the following year. The location is going to be the Mira Costa High School Auditorium at: 1401 Artesia Blvd. Manhattan Beach, CA 90266 United States The worship and lesson will go from 6:30pm - 8pm, and from 8pm-9:30pm we will have a College Fair! Each campus ministry of the LA Church will be represented. Martin Chairez will be our main speaker of the night, as we give an incredible vision of staying focused in this harvest season. We highly encourage the parents of the Juniors and Seniors to come, to get any questions answered during the college fair and to catch a vision for what the coming years will hold for their student. Parents please note for those of you looking to sign up for the PGA Junior Golf League, you must do that on pgajlg.com. The PGA Junior Golf League is a separate entity. The Fox Den Junior Golf League is designed for junior golfers between the ages of 10 & 17 who are eager to take their abilities onto the golf course. In this podcasting class, well examine the art of radio storytelling, beginning with the Golden Age of radio dramas in the 30s, 40s, and 50s, all the way up to the radio journalism of today with programs like This American Life, 99% Invisible, and RadioLab. This is the perfect introduction to chemical reactions for curious middle school students! Each day, students will learn about the chemical interactions of atoms and molecules using hands-on lab activities, group activities, and class discussions. All materials will be provided, but students should wear clothes that are appropriate for lab activities. Kristen Tordillos teaches biology, physical science, and honors biology at Seattle Prep.
