LATEST CAMPS NEWS: CIT (Counselor in Training) - Positive Energy Outdoors
Spend time this summer as a CIT with Positive Energy Outdoors and become an outdoor leader. As a mentor and role model for younger campers, youll assist PEO staff with games, team building challenges and camp activities including kayaking, SUP, rock climbing, hiking, draft horses and more. Youll also be trained to help with the maurices portable climbing wall at community events. A mandatory training/orientation session is required on Friday, June 10 from 12 - 4 pm. A commitment of at least one full week of camp is required for participation, and transportation is available from Marshall School (drop off at 8:15 am and pick up at 4:45 each day). Indicate which camps you are available to help at in the registration process. CITs also receive a PEO t-shirt. 218-391-0147

The staff at Sandy Hill Camp is great. We noticed that they had a vast ethnicity so many children were able to find counselors that looked and talked very similar to them. Our Jr. S.T.E.A.M. Team members (ages 3-5), our S.T.E.A.M. Team members (ages 6-9), and our Counselors-in-Training (ages 10-13) will join forces to solve mysteries, visit the Louvre, take on the Big Apple, and visit the Texas Zoo. Families can register their campers for just one adventure or they can take on the full S.T.E.A.M. Team challenge by signing up for all 4 camps, giving them the title of Jr. CDM Ambassador (ages 3-9) or CDM Ambassador (ages 10-13). CDM Ambassadors will receive a “sneak peek” of the museum prior to its grand opening this fall, and while visiting, they will have the opportunity to share their genius ideas with museum staff and volunteers! During Week 1 of camp, the S.T.E.A.M. team will take on a big job. The team members will use their skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math to solve a mystery so strange, even the grown-ups are perplexed! WPC Annual Youth Winter Retreat - Silver Lake, NY
If God threw a party, would everyone be invited? Would You? Well you are all invited to come on the annual Youth Winter Retreat What if Jesus meant something very different by the concepts of heaven, hell and salvation from how we have been taught and understand them? Pastor Larry DeVuyst will lead us to tackle these questions and more as we work through our retreat study from Rob Bell’s book, Love Wins, for Teens. As always there will be fun games, good food, and time with friends. Complete the retreat form found on WPC website youth page and turn it in to my mailbox with a check for $50 by 1/8. We need a count for food, games and supplies so please reserve your spot soon. Pick up the easy to read book from Pastor DeVuyst to read ahead. Don’t let reading the book keep you from attending the retreat. Pastor Larry is looking for appropriate movies where love overcomes adversity. If you have a recommendations please let us know. Choose any four weeks for your child to attend. Additional weeks may be added later by contacting the Director at the established rate. Weeks CANNOT be added at the rate difference between each available session program. For example, if you register for three weeks and then decide to add two additional weeks, the cost WILL NOT be the difference between the three week program and the five week program. This week campers will have a chance to get dirty (ok, thats every week!), plant their own giant sunflower and visit a working farm. On our adventures into nature we will talk about what is growing in the forest and how old trees are in between games and free play promoting personal growth! 505-699-6230

Grades 3-5 This is the camp to take your child?s lacrosse game to the next level with a focus on technique and agility. Our coaches help elevate their game through drills, conditioning and scrimmages. Campers work on ball handling, fast break and transition skills and participate in daily contests and games. Come and enjoy small-sided games and more individual and team competitions. Please bring lacrosse stick, mouthguard, helmet/goggles, protective gloves, water, lunch and a snack. Elbow pads recommended. Coaches: One on One Sports Training staff.
