We are excited about our 2015 Summer Teen Camp. We will be headed to camp CoBeAc in Michigan to join in "the Next Great Detective" the week of July 20th-25th. The speaker for the week will be Ron DeGarde. The cost for camp is $300. Registrations can be found on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/brooksidesm/789881794381590/ or in the teen room. Chicago Bulls Basketball School Ages 6-8 - St. Pauls Lutheran School
No one can teach basketball better than Chicago bulls! This summer, learn from the best and let the Chicago Bulls teach you how to play like a champion! The Rookie camp (Ages 6-8) is a beginner camp focused on building fundamentals and fun drills to get the kids to understand the game and improve their play. For the older kids (Ages 9-12), coaches will work on the team comcept and refining/advancing the skills for the serious player. You are sure to improve your ball handling, passing, shooting, rebounding and footwork. Each Chicago Bulls camp participant will receive an EXCLUSIVE UNITED CENTER EXPERIENCE! Participants in this course will learn the "basics" of child care. Topics will include engaging in age-appropriate activities, safety and security, handling emergency situations and how to manage those hard-earned dollars! Basic child care skills will include diapering, feeding and maintaining a safe environment. Students will learn how to properly administer CPR in a life-threatening emergency, such as choking. Features a Bay sailing adventure! Gain your sea legs this week as you learn about the wonders of the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay. Hike out to the Point Bonita Lighthouse to see the power of the Pacific and the only lighthouse in the U.S. accessed by a suspension bridge. Step back in time and discover how the Coast Miwok people relied on the ocean and bay. Midweek, youll sail aboard the schooner Seaward to observe marine mammals, learn about maritime navigation, and identify plankton under microscopes.
