Wearable technology is becoming more and more popular everyday, especially when devices such as fit bits and apple watches exist. However, what if we were to incorporate technology into fashion? In this class, students will learn to invent and create a functional wearable garment, such as a shirt that lights up when reacting to sound, light, or temperature. Students will combine technology & fashion to create great looking, interactive wearables. This class will incorporate sewing, electronics, and fundamental programming. My twin son and daughter, aged 10, can’t wait for Camp Si-La Meo every summer. It is designed for ages 5-15 years old and has a variety of activities for each age group. There are many outdoor activities: rock climbing, swimming, archery, boating, hiking, rifle training and horseback riding. This camp provides experiences my kids would otherwise not experience.... Summer Camp Registration will begin Saturday March 21st at 10AM. Sign up for CAMPS including LEARN TO SWIM PROGRAM with the City and County of San Fransisco. This can be done in one of 3 ways: 1. Online at www.sfreconline.org (view entire summer camp 2015 activity guide here) 2. at McLaren Lodge in Golden Gate Park, 501 Stanyan Street (@ Fell) (415) 831-6800. 3. At any neighboring registration site, such as Hamilton Recreation Center. 1900 Geary Blvd (@ Steiner) ***Please make sure you sign up for the correct swim lesson level for your child. If you sign up for the wrong level it could result in a withdrawal without refund for the class. If you are unsure of what level you should be signing up for please contact Assistant Supervisor Tracy Newman (Ford) at Hamilton Aquatic Center (415) 292-2008 and set up a time to have your child tested. We limit all students to a total of two classes for the season, both of which must be of the same level. Space Engineer - Schenectady County Community College
Camp Space Engineer is a LEGO building and robotics camp designed for campers ages 6-8. Activities and experiments explore space with an emphasis on collaborating with the International Space Station astronauts. During each activity campers will be using LEGO components to build a variety of space vehicles and simple machines and robots. They will also work to build and launch two ESTES rockets. Each day has four Science Labs, which allow campers to build and participate in the LEGO activities. The day starts with a science demonstration with the rest of the camp, which highlights a science principle.
