We felt it was very important for our kids to spend at least a portion of the summer surrounded by nature. They got plenty of that at Moss Hollow! This was a summer of first for our children including first time in a canoe, first time sleeping overnight outside the home, first time camping, first time fishing. PM Potions from the Dungeon - Bethany Christian School Campus
Come and join your fellow Hogwarts classmates in Snapes potion lab. This camp is a bewitching introduction to the world of chemistry. Each day, you will concoct new and exciting elixirs with your fellow pupils. Scientific research will be incorporated to discover and justify results. 6th - 8th Grade | Homework Lab with Ms. Burgess (Jan to March) - Mondays and Wednesdays - Morgan Park Academy
Does your student need help with English Language Arts or Social Studies? Does your student need a quiet place to work on homework with a teacher after school? If so, the MPA Homework Lab is the place for them! The MPA Homework Lab will take place Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:10pm to 4:30pm in Hansen 112. The Lab will offer a quiet place where students can complete homework, ask questions, work on projects, or just study for quizzes and tests. Lil Sluggers N Kiddie Kickers Camp - Ackerman Sports and Fitness Center
Time for some t-ball and kickball! This camp will combine these two, fun common sports. Kids will learn the similarities of these sports, how both are properly played and learn the basic fundamentals of both. Running the bases, throwing, catching and fielding skills that are similar to both sports will be taught. Boys and girls will also learn the fundamentals that are unique to t-ball and kickball like hitting off of the tee and kicking the ball. Games will be played each day with an emphasis on teamwork and good sportsmanship. Each participant should bring a water bottle. SportsKids Inc. staff will teach the camp. Soccer - Boys (6th-8th) - St. Agnes Academy-St. Dominic School
Open to all SDS students in grades 6-8. Team will play in Spring Shelby Soccer League. First game March 1st. Players/parents will be contacted by coach with practice dates/times. Owlet Camp I - Rice University
The half day camp is designed for the younger players. It is open to any and all boys and girls ages 4-6. Each player will receive an official Rice Soccer Ball and an official Rice Soccer Camp T-shirt at the end of the week. Campers will begin each day with dynamic warm up exercises to loosen up and get ready for the day. This will be followed by the technical portion of the session, focusing on ball control, passing and shooting. The day will conclude with small sided fun games where campers will have the opportunity to utilize skills learned earlier in the day. The Owlet Camp runs from 9:00 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. each Monday of camp. Cost of camp: $265 713-348-6955
