Shake off winter and visit Camp Long for a day of fun outdoor experiences! Camp Long is celebrating its 75th birthday, and what better way to celebrate than to put the camp though its paces. Youth Outdoor Adventure Day will be a free day of fun activities open to the public, for boys and girls aged 10-20. This is a great opportunity to see how the building has changed, share Campus Life memories, and hear how Campus Life is still giving life to so many kid’s stories. Grown-Up Summer Camp - Indianapolis, IN
Remember summer camp? Remember making new friends, learning new skills, getting a cool t-shirt and having fun? Following a sold-out debut last year, we are bringing back the joy of camp, but for grown-ups only. Grown-Up Summer Camp is a day-long immersive experience with artists, musicians, chefs, curators, and performers throughout the campus. Activities include making cardboard forts to battle rival campers, discovering hidden areas of the IMA campus, foraging the woods for edible plants, and cooking dinner with Cerulean chef Caleb France. Cap off the day gathering by the campfire with a drink with live music by local bands. The IMA's ARTx Series is made possible by a gift from the Efroymson Family Fund Saturday, September 24 / 10 am-9 pm

Urban Trail Bike Camp - Kids on Bikes Community Center
This fun and safety focused urban trail riding camp offers kids the opportunity to explore local trails that connect our city. Base camp will start at the Kids on Bikes community bike center, which allows connection by trail onto Shooks Run, Greenway Trail, and Midland Trail. Each day, participants will ride to a new location by utilizing bike trails and some neighborhood streets. The goal is to ride to a new destination each day such as to the library, Garden of the Gods Visitor Center, Velodrome, Popcycle Bridge, Pulpit Rock and more. The focus of this camp is on cycling safety, trail etiquette, bicycle commuting as transportation and basic bike maintenance skills like changing flats and solving gear problems. Please bring a sack lunch, a backpack, water bottle and a jacket. To prepare for camp, please make sure your child is comfortable on dirt with two wheels before registering for this program and would be comfortable riding 8-10 miles (sounds like a lot but we take a lot of breaks!). 7193553573.0

If you love to draw, sculpt, and think outside-the-box, then you may be a designer at heart! Try your hand at both 2-D & 3-D design projects and get a feel for what its like to be a real designer. Campers will: * Design the treehouse of their dreams! Would it be multiple stories tall and look like a mansion or would it be a single story and have a zipline or a hot tub? Designed for middle and older teens, Extreme Sports Camp is packed full of classic amp experiences which include opportunities to learn sailing, water skiing, canoeing kayaking, four wheeling, archery, riflery, barrel racing, paint-balling, and swimming. This class is all about exploring the art of textiles, from felting to weaving to mixed-media projects. Choose your colors, create a pattern and construct felted fabric from wool roving, then turn it into an impressive bag to hold your treasures. Well also weave wall hangings with yarn, raffia, feathers and other miscellaneous items, and learn to braid intricate patterns into friendship bracelets. 970.728.3886
