The Summer Camp: On The Road Tour returns in 2016! Mainstage Morgantown submitted 12 area bands from WV, PA, OH, MD based on website, social media presence, recorded material, tour history, festival history, and local fanbase. The Summer Camp on the Road committee chose the following acts: The Company Stores Fletcher's Grove Grand Ole' Ditch The Jakobs Ferry Stragglers Dale and the ZDubs Each paid $5 entry recieves a voters card to submit anytime during the contest. The winning band wins a paid spot on this years Summer Camp Music Festival in Chillicothe, NY.

Living Water - Dirksen Nature Park
Search for whats living just below the surface of our river, learn to fish, then put your knowledge to action with a full day of fishing.Search for whats living just below the surface of our rivers and creeks while building and appreciation for all the creatures, big and small, that call the water home. Get a chance to swim with otters, discover beaver dams, and search for crawdads. All camps hosted at Dirksen also include a full day of paddling on the Tualatin River with experienced river guides. Period 4 - Woodworking - NBJH Room 116
Incoming 7th and 8th Graders will learn the basic usage and safety of some hand tools, power tools and machinery (routers, drill press, scroll saw, spindle sander, disc sander, palm sander, cordless drill, lathe). All activities will be demonstrated and supervised by Mr. Caris, the current Woodworking teacher at NBJH. Students will choose a project from a list based on their experience. The list will be sent home in the FIRST week of the course. Examples include a cutting board, wood bowl, routed sign, garden tray, gumball machine, and bag toss game. August Evening Camp - Dogwood Hill Elementary School
For children ages U6-U7, our camps will introduce and develop your childs love of soccer through a sequence of dribbling, shooting, balance, running, jumping, and movement educations drills along with a variety of fun-filled games. Your child will learn how to follow direction and improve their social skills by connecting with their peers and instructors. For children ages U8-U10, our camps will reinforce proper technique and develops players athletic abilities through a sequence of lifting & juggling, eye-foot coordination, running with the ball, passing, receiving, moves while dribbling, and heading & crossing drills. Your child will learn how to dominate the ball by having the correct body mechanics. Player development is achieved with game-like activities and is enjoyed by all players. In addition, if your child is preparing to play for a recreation or club team; this program will institute the fundamental soccer skills required for the next level of competition. For players ages U11-U14 and U15-U19, our camps allow the developing player to be competent in all aspects of basic techniques through a sequence of educational movement and execution.
