Greetings, friends! We want you to be a part of the Fox 61 “Send a Kid to Camp” Phone Bank, benefiting Hartford’s Camp Courant. The Phone Bank will air live from Fox 61 and WCCT (CW) on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 beginning from 9a.m. to 10a.m. and then returning from 4p.m. to 7p.m. Your support of this campaign will help Hartford’s Camp Courant and Fox 61 further their missions to support education-based programs for children throughout the greater Hartford community. Our goal is to raise $100,000 during the live four-hour televised fundraiser, which will help to enhance the summer experience for nearly 1,000 Hartford children this year. We have a long standing, aligned and focused partnership with Fox 61 who is dedicated to making a positive difference. Everything they do in the community will link directly to their mission of HOPE (Helping Organizations Promote Education) where they will focus their resources to maximize impact. FOX 61 builds bridges between Connecticut companies, nonprofit organizations, citizens and leaders to cultivate collaborative partnerships to inform, educate and inspire their viewers. Outdoor Youth Day - West Palm Beach, FL
(FSCA) Florida Sportsmen's Conservation Association 16th Annual Outdoor Youth Day Our Annual event is scheduled for February 6,2016 at the Everglades Youth Camp in J W Corbett WMA. We are expecting over 1,500 children of all ages to come and enjoy various activities. In an effort to reduce the increasing decline of our children's interest in the outdoors, FSCA has created an Outdoor Youth Day. Outdoor Youth Day is a Program specifically designed to educate children to many different recreational activities available in our natural areas but munch more importantly have some fun outdoors. This is the 16th Annual Outdoor Youth Day event and It’s FSCA biggest day of the year. Youth Day has buggy rides, canoeing, pony rides, airboat rides and displayed, archery, gun range instruction, fishing and wildlife shows to reach kids of all ages and show them the benefits of being outdoors instead of in front of a TV. Last years annual event had over 1,200 participants that came and over 150 volunteers that worked the whole day. Please call Caroll at 561 795-1375 for more information.

June 14-15, 9am-noon; June 14-15, 1pm-4pm; June 23-24, 1pm-4pm at Oak Grove Park Adventure Camp, ages 7-9. June 21-22; June 28-29; July 13-14; July 27-28 from 9am-2pm at Oak Grove Park. Introduction to Shooting, ages 10-12. July 19-20; July 21-22 from 9am-3pm, Big Sioux Recreation Area south of Hawarden. Hunter Education Overnight Camp ages 13-15. Students will create stories, dioramas, miniature stage sets and scenes depicting real life places or imaginary characters to sculpt the wildest of things. Students will learn how to program a robot to navigate through maze challenges, detect obstacles and even get the opportunity to duel other robot teams in a mini sump competition. By the end of the camp students will show off their learned robotics skills, experience STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) first hand and take their robot home to continue their exploration of its many capabilities. Boys and Girls. Looking for something unique and fun to try? Learn and practice the basics of twirling and routines. Try 2-baton, hoop and flag. Each camper receives a certificate and baton-related gift upon completion of camp. If you need a baton, they are measured the first day and the fee is $13-$27 (used batons available).Coach: Jenney Gordon, former Champion Twirler. For safety reasons, campers may not wear open-toed shoes. Wednesday-Friday. Enroll now!
