Throughout the week, we will learn about the history of belly dance, do exercises to inspire creativity and self-expression, and of course...dance! Different styles of belly dance will be introduced through hours of drills and practice, forming into a choreography that participants will have the opportunity to perform at the end of the week in a safe and supportive environment (performance optional). We will also study Middle Eastern music and become acquainted with the rhythms that are so fun to dance to! Not only is belly dance a GREAT form of exercise, it is also a great way to make friends and become part of a community. NJ, Waldwick; Preseason Faceoff Clinic - The Super Dome
The Preseason Faceoff Clinic will focus around the three fundamentals for youth to advanced level players; technique, repetition, and competition. The face-off clinic will teach the players how to hold the stick properly, feet/stance alignment, stick alignment, and primary/counter moves. Specific face-off drills and advanced skill work performed at the college and MLL level will also be incorporated throughout the clinic. The first day will focus mainly on face-off instruction and repetition. The second day will focus mainly on repetition and competition. Intro to volleyball through skill development and small group games. Staff will focus on helping athletes learn the rules of volleyball while working on team play and sportsmanship. The Young Scientists Camp was created in response to requests by parents to have a science camp for their younger children. All Young Scientist activities meet or exceed the National Science Standards. Fun and excitement is fostered by great lessons and hands-on experiments.
