Ready for some sports fun and adventures in the great outdoors? Duke Schools Sports and Outdoor Adventures Camp will focus on sports, outdoor activities, team building and environmental awareness. Campers will enjoy a mixture of hands-on learning, working and playing together while discovering how to enjoy the outdoors while preserving it for others. Campers will have fun playing sports and games including, soccer, basketball, whiffleball, tennis, flag football, floor hockey, frisbee games and more! All Paths Welcome. If you are a teen, please join us at Briercrest Park in La Mesa from 1pm to 5pm on Saturday, October 10th for a jam-packed metaphysical teen workshop! We'll be learning grounding & centering techniques, how to shield and how to work with Spirit Animals. The camp is FREE, but a signed parent permission slip is required to participate. Golf Camps - Golf - St. Paul Gym
Learn the FUNdamentals for this lifetime sport with the University of Minnesota School of Golf. All Participants will experience the latest techniques in golf training and specialized starter equipment. Campers age 6-8 will learn putting, chipping and full swing technique through games and drills, plus etiquette and rules. Older campers add in pitching and additional training stations, plus get a chance to apply their skills on the course and learn more about how a golf course operates. These sessions are best for beginners to those with moderate experience. Bring golf clubs if you have them; some equipment is available to share. Please plan accordingly for the weather with a cap, sunscreen, water bottle, and umbrella or rain gear. All registrants agree to the policies and procedures of Youth Programs, including change fees, cancellation fees, deadlines, and other details found in the program materials and parent handbook. Summer Language Camp: Week 2 - Lyman Campus
SUMMER LANGUAGE CAMP: Ages: Girls and Boys Entering Grades 3 - 6 Dates: June 27-July 1 and August 1-5 Time: 9:00 am - 3:30 pm Format: Two, one week sessions Location: Laurels Lyman Campus in Shaker Heights Tuition: $400/session This camp is designed to introduce students to modern languages while they experience summer fun including cooking, sports, arts, sightseeing and field trips throughout the city – in the target language. Your child will be immersed in language, culture and pure fun in this camp led by Laurel World Languages faculty and counselors who are fluent in the language. Languages are offered in an immersion setting to give campers the foundation they need to enter a language class at their grade level. While cooking tapas, crepes or egg rolls, our students spontaneously use their target language to request flavors, colors, and what they like and dont like. Beginning with acting fundamentals, students will learn the vocabulary used in the theater world, and take classes on monologues, scene work, pantomime, improvisation and more. We will be playing games and instruments in this melodic camp. Using patterned text from childrens songs and poems, we will actively "do music" while gaining stronger literacy skills. You will experience many literacy components such as syllabication, phonics, and rhyming. We will use pictures and context clues to decode new vocabulary.
