Centri-Kid Camp - Middletown, MD
CentriKid is a high energy, intentional, gospel-centered overnight camp for 3rd-6th graders. Their mission is to help kids experience the time of their lives and learn more about the message of Jesus Christ. This takes place through track times, rec, worship, Bible study, church group time, and other fun events. CentriKid Camps are committed to providing content that is rooted in Scripture, a safe location, kid-friendly programming, and staffers who are deeply invested in your kids. July 31-Aug 4. Our highly trained Lead Explorers will help children select projects from the following modules, including: Music and Mechanical Engineering, Flight and Aerial Photography, Textiles and Technology, Reverse Engineering, 3D Printing, Robotics, and Augmented Reality with Google Cardboard. Amplified Electronics (STEM) - Palm Harbor Montessori Academy
Amplify your childs interest in electronics with this exciting camp! Kids tinker with switches, LEDs, buzzers and wire to create a series of simple circuits that form the foundation for exciting DIY designs. Projects such as Electronic Quiz and Burglar Alarm generate excitement while campers explore concepts ranging from conductivity to solar power! And yes, Playdoh is conductive! Programmable Speed Bots - Wow Science - Voorhees
Using iOS and Android devices, campers will program a robot to do many tricks, including pulling off ollies--a trick where a skateboarder or snowboarder can jump into the air without ramping off something else. This robot can pull off ollies, do a quick spin in place, speed boost while driving (called grabs), jump around like a hot potato, pull off wheelies, or rocket across the room and turn on a dime before zipping off in a new direction. All this as campers have fun mastering basic concepts of programming. Bring your cell phone if you have one. NOTE: THIS PROGRAM RUNS MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY FOR A HALF DAY. Game Design: McDonald - McDonald International School
Students in Game Design will have the opportunity to create a video game using Kodu Game Lab! Our theme is "Sea Life". Your child will utilize the sea creatures, objects and "bots" in order to save the underwater environment from toxic dredge and ooze. Students will learn to program an underwater submarine to clean up the ocean floor and defend our sea life. We will build the seafloor with the terrain tools, add sealife and objectives. Students will learn how to program scoreboards and timers in order to tell their story and program enemy bots.
