Ages: Girls and Boys Entering Grades 7 - 9 Dates: June 27 – July 1 Time: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Format: One-week session designed around challenging activities Location: Laurels Lyman Campus in Shaker Heights Tuition: $360/session Cabinets of curiosity, also known as wonder rooms, were collections of extraordinary objects used to categorize the world and tell stories about its oddities. In this class, we will create a wonder room by investigating several of the many ways in which science and art intersect. By highlighting the overlap between art and science, we will gain a better understanding of each, as well as a new appreciation for how art can play a role in scientific processes and how science can inform and facilitate the creation of visual art. Topics of exploration may include: • Gyotaku/fish printing • Biological illustration • Kinetic sculpture • Cyanotyping/solar prints • The golden ratio and biomimicry • Using bacteria as paint • Nature journaling and the history of collecting 216-455-0154

New Jersey's Insurgent Youth join NYCOG Youth Camp - Matawan, NJ
Due to an administrative oversight on the part of Ministerio Bethel Internacional, we have been forced to modify our plans regarding this summer's youth camp. Although we had reserved the dates last September, somehow MBI has given away our reservation to another group. All that being said, we have decided that as opposed to trying to reschedule our own camp at this point, instead New Jersey's Insurgent Youth Camp will join force's with New York's Youth camp which is held at the same facility. However, as opposed to the camp being held July 5-9, it will now take place on August 8-13. The good news is that this change will result in a reduced price for all who attend. The set price for the camp is $225 and as opposed to our previous rate, the price will include an additional day at the campsite. As far as registration goes, all applications should still be sent to New Jersey Youth and Discipleship at 147 Lower Main Street, Matawan, NJ, 07747. We have an arrangement with the New York State Office and will make our payments to them from the applications we receive. Although the circumstances are not as I would have liked to see them, the...

Campers enjoy a fun week of skill-building activities designed to improve stick handling, cradling, passing, shooting and defensive skills. All programs are co-ed, non-contact and skill-based. Please bring mouth guard, lacrosse stick, protected gloves, snack and water. Elbow pads recommended. Lacrosse Sticks are also available for use if needed Coaches: One on One Sports Training staff. This year Delaware Volleyball Association will be running our volleyball program. DVA is known throughout the tri-state region for developing players who go on to succeed in their high school and college careers. Some DVA alumni will be on the US Olympic team this year. Players will be taught the fundamentals of serving, passing, setting and spiking. Teamwork around the net will be emphasized. Players can expect a good workout every day. ---------- LOCATION: Sanford School. Please drop your child off at the Sports Center at 8:45 a.m. Pick up will be in the same location at 3:15. ---------- WHAT TO BRING: Light-weight, loose fitting shirts, shorts, socks and sneakers. Knee pads and jump rope are also required. Water Bottle Bathing suit and towel for free swim in the afternoon. Lunch, unless purchasing from Camp. ($35.00/per week) A drink will be provided for all by the Camp. An afternoon icy treat will be served. ---------- At the end of Sport/Specialty Camp registration, you can register your child for Day Camp at: 610-565-4850
