The Birchmont Fun Fest
They call is the 'Birchmont Experience' on their website. I call it the Birchmont Fun Fest because that's just what our two kids went through. Although they are only a year apart you would think they grew up in separate cities. What amazed me is how close they became. That was worth the price of admission! The W Theater proudly presents, "Acting Up" A Children & Teen Performing Arts Camp. If you have a child or teen between the ages of 6 and 18 and they love "Acting Up", please register them for this camp (workshop). Saturday, September 17, 2016 from 11am - 5pm at the Broward County Main Library Auditorium Downtown Ft. Lauderdale. There will be age appropriate acting and singing classes with experienced instructors and assistants. Those who are serious will be casted in Sonya Welch's Stage Play, "Don't Give Up" which was written especially for children & teens. In this class, basic strokes are reviewed, with an emphasis on footwork, combining shots and keeping the ball in play within a 60 foot court. Scoring and match play will also be introduced to the students. 23 or 25 inch racquet recommended. 8 hours of instruction. 9:30am-11:30am, Monday through Thursday.
