This camp will introduce young actors to playmaking, a process of making theatre as an ensemble through creative play. Students will explore acting, storytelling, costumes, props, music and movement to bring a timeless folktale to life on stage. They also learn how to sing, act and dance to a Broadway-style song. Comfortable, free range of motion clothes must be worn, along with jazz, character or sneakers. Jeans will not be permitted. 248-373-5300

The Birchmont Fun Fest
They call is the 'Birchmont Experience' on their website. I call it the Birchmont Fun Fest because that's just what our two kids went through. Although they are only a year apart you would think they grew up in separate cities. What amazed me is how close they became. That was worth the price of admission! Extra Pointers Kicking, Punting & Specialists Football Camp Combo. (Grades 6 - 12) Camp is two sessions (June 21-23 & Aug. 2-4) combined for one low price of $348.00! The goal of this camp is to make athletes into solid, competent performers. Camp will expose kickers, punters, holders, and snappers to all aspects of their respective positions: mechanics, technique, game-situation, mental preparedness, and physical training. Campers receive an Extra pointers t-shirt, a printed technique guide by position, and video evaluation. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Notes: Camp is only open to children entering grades 6-12. Registering ineligible children will result in removal from program and no refund. No residency restrictions. Explore the BEST of Austin and the Hill Countrys Art Scene. Well visit The Blanton, take a metal-smithing class at Creative Side Jewelry Academy, see interesting public art works, watch a glass-blowing demonstration and so much more. Well stretch our imaginations while viewing interesting public artworks, art galleries and creating our own art.Traveling Art Camp Austin Well head out into the world for the early part of the day and be back to The Art Garage to create in the studio during the afternoons. Campers can expect to create their own hand-forged metal rings, glass slumped dish, mosaic artwork, large scale public mural and more. Our Camp Counselors are experienced and selected based on education, knowledge of the sports offered at our camp, and their experiences working with children. They are trained in safety procedures and first aid. Staff members are supervised by camp directors and club management. After Lunch Afternoon activities are offered after lunch. After a full morning of golf or tennis, your childs afternoon is structured into two afternoon activity sessions. During this time they may choose from a wide variety of activities including organized games of golf or tennis, swimming, soccer, basketball, hikes, arts and crafts, fishing and much more! Counselors Camp staff is selected based on education, knowledge of sports offered at our camp and their prior experience working with children.
