My name is James E. Hampton, and I am the CEO of the Aaron Brooks Foundation Drills and Skills program. The program works collaboratively with Schools and Community Centers to develop comprehensive youth development strategies for underserved, school aged youth. The Aaron Brooks Drills and Skills mission is to empower at-risk youth to become successful citizens by providing a nurturing environment where they will develop their academic, civic, and leadership skills while improving their basketball skills. After-school tutoring as well as lesson-based basketball drills provide these youth with the tools they need to be motivated in school and life. Please help us with our 1st Jamison Hook Allstate Coats-4-Kids drive. We are excited to participate in this event with KXLY who have been keeping area kids warm for the last 30 years! With winter around the corner we need to insure the children of our community are taken care of! We will be announcing the winner of the competition as well as kicking off Brett's camping time 10 minutes per coat donated! Lets keep Brett cold!

Youngsters and their families will enjoy stories, crafts, songs, and surprises at Toddler Boot Camp. This themed four-week story time is geared to children 1-5 years old to encourage them to transition from the baby stages to a big kid. Stories and songs such as "Bye Bye Binky," " No More Diapers," and "No More Monsters," will be shared to make transitioning for parent and child a fun experience.

Aviation Innovations PM - Morehead Planetarium and Science Center
How do Frisbees, planes, and helicopters travel through the air? Come experiment with the principles of lift, drag, thrust and gravity. Campers will test their piloting skills with kites and paper planes and then end the week by launching their homemade rockets. 919-962-1236
Sunflower Basketball Camp - Ages 6-7 - Olathe Community Center
This is a fundamentally-based camp for boys and girls ages 6-13; focusing on skill development through daily drill periods, contests, and competitive games. Instruction is provided by High School coaches and current and former college basketball players. Camp Director, Brett McFall, is an Olathe South High School grad and 1997 Mr. Kansas Basketball. Brett was a 4-year player at the University of Wyoming (1997-2001) and played professionally in Europe and the USA (2002-2004). He has 13 years of coaching experience and is currently the head coach at Shawnee Mission South High School. Each participant will receive a camp t-shirt. Lycée International de Los Angeles (LILA) will be offering a bilingual French and English program for children between the ages of 15 and 30 months old. The program, Mommy & Moi, will teach French to parents and children in a warm, loving, and supportive environment. Music and playtime activities will help children in their language acquisition while parents, some of them learning alongside their children, will also be able to participate in discussions on their childrens development. 323-665-4526

The Bill Waris Blue Jays Basketball Club will be hosting a Spring Basketball Camp at Saint Thomas More Grade School on April 2nd and 3rd for grades 3rd through 8th grade. The camp will held for grades 3rd-5th on Saturday from 9am-11am and Sunday from 12pm-2pm. Grades 6th-8th grade will be held on Saturday from 11am-1pm and Sunday from 2pm-4pm. CJ and Nick Naudet 4 year Varsity Basketball Lettermen from Bishop OHara High School and Timothy Waris Jr. currently playing on the varsity basketball team from Rockhurst High School will be running the basketball camp and showing the young campers what they have learned over the years playing basketball at Bishop OHara and Rockhurst High School. Strider Push Bike Camp - Cottonwood Creek Park
This is where it all begins! Learning fun and balance as young as 2 years old, kids and families spend 45 minutes doing age appropriate games and skills in order to achieve proper balance and steering skills. Strider (push bike) camp is geared toward kids who are walking with their bikes, not fully sitting on the seat and not yet gliding or striding. But, it is also for those kids who are ready to learn how to turn, stop and maneuver obstacles. Parents will be hands on during this class.
