Were hosting a 6-day, 5-night adventure camp that includes 2 days of whitewater rafting, spelunking in lava tubes, hiking to mountaintop vistas, biking through the valley, and learning watershed science. Well be based in the White Salmon River Valley in Trout Lake, Washington. Students should expect to make new friends, learn new ways of traveling in the outdoors, and come home excited about exploring the Columbia River Gorge and the Cascade Mountains. Tremper Cheerleaders are holding their Basketball Cheer Kid's Clinic on Saturday, Feb. 4th from 9:00 am to Noon at Tremper High School. Girls will play games, learn cheers, jumps and a short dance. Cost is $30.00 which includes a t-shirt to wear on the performance day which is Tuesday, Feb. 7th @ 5:30. Girls should arrive at Tremper at 4:30 to run through things. The girls will do sidelines for the 1st half of the JV Basketball game with the Tremper Cheerleaders and then perform at 1/2 time with them as well. After halftime, they are free to leave. "Skill of the day" will teach the core components of passing, catching, de-flagging, and defensive positioning in a fun, positive environment. Scientists Explorers - Gulf Shores/Orange Beach Alabama
Scientist Explorers will engage in activities real scientists use to explore marine life and the ocean including research, microscopes, animal behaviors and anatomy. A field trip to the Alabama Marine Resources in Gulf Shores will take place on Thursday to tour the facility, which contains a fish hatchery with marine biologists. The High School Band Camp is designed for musicians ranging from the most talented and proficient to the less experienced. It is open to entering grades 9, 10, 11, or 12.
