This camp was a blast last year and this year will be even better! I will be using it as my senior project this year. It is June 27-29th from 6-9pm at Kuna High School track. Our kid's summer sew camp includes three fun-filled days of crafting and project making while learning a valuable skill! Sew camp is ideal for children ages 7 and up who haven’t sewn before or are still beginning, or those who want to learn more. Each day will bring a new project! We will be running two camps for three consecutive days frp, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Camp will include a snack (children with special dietary restrictions or preferences are encouraged to bring their own) and all materials. Explore the world of robotics using the new LEGO® Mindstorms EV3® line. Learn how to build and program robots by designing simpler versions of real world robots. Youll create a bot patterned after Starwood Hotels robot butler, which can be programmed to deliver objects to guests. Youll make an animatronic creature which senses people and says hello to them. Youll also make a line-following bot and one which moves along like an inchworm. Plus, well spend a morning working in teams to build and program robots to complete missions similar to those in First LEGO® League (FLL) competitions! Create your own scrolling adventure game using Stencyl®, one of the newest and best ways to create games for a computer or mobile device. You will select or design characters, give them properties and behaviors for movement and interactivity, use built-in physics, customize the backgrounds and levels, add sound and scoring, and so much more. When youre done, youll have your own unique game, ready to play at home (on Windows) or upload to Stencyls online game library for others to play. Classroom: E-2 Instructor: Rick Abbott (No class on March 31 or April 28. Final performance May 12th) This enrichment class is taught by Mr. Abbott. Jr. Choir is a performing choir for 2nd and 3rd graders. We are performing the choral concert STAR MAKER – the TV Show. The songs are delightful! Ive done this concert many times because the kids love the music. The students will perform in two concerts: a daytime assembly and a formal night concert in the MUR. For 3rd graders, there are opportunities, by audition, for solos, small group numbers, and narrator parts. Proper solo vocal technique, as well as ensemble vocal technique are taught. Make new friends; develop confidence while performing onstage for an audience. The songs are upbeat and lots of fun! This camp will focus on teaching and fine tuning passing and defensive skills. This includes liberos as well as any player who plays defense or who is in serve receive. Space limited to 48 campers.
