This year, we mark 40 years of encouraging, educating and strengthening families. To celebrate, we're helping send kids to camp with camperships of up to $400 for kids whose families cannot afford such an expense. 100% of your donation goes directly to a kid's camp tuition. Holiday Break Teen Knitting Camp - Minneapolis, MN
In this 3 day knitting camp students will have the opportunity to work on either a basic scarf or a pair of mittens. For those who are new to knitting or want to fine tune their knitting a purling the scarf is an ideal choice. For those who are confident with knitting and purling the mittens are a great way to explore double pointed needles as well as some shaping. This class is for students age 12-18. --- This class meets December 28, 29, and 30, 2015 from 1-3pm. Register online or call 612-925-2454.
Surprise Valley Youth Camp Family Retreat - Beckley, WV
The retreat is for the entire family or, if everyone in the family can't come, those who can are welcome. There will be classes for all ages. We will have activities, speakers, singing, snack bar, campfires and plenty of food. Volleyball - Session 1 - Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy
Where: NDP GAC About: NDP volleyball camps are designed to provide girls an opportunity to improve their individual skills in an atmosphere that is challenging, intense and fun. Our experienced staff, including current NDP coaches and players, encourages all campers to work hard, learn new skills and make new friends. Fundamentals and team concepts will be stressed. Campers should arrive 15 minutes early on the first day to check in. These camps often sell out, so please sign up early. What to wear/bring: Athletic attire, indoor athletic shoes, socks, knee pads and water bottle. Please note our new cancellation policy. A 50% fee of the cost of the camp shall be applied to an individual who cancels. 248-373-5300
Musical Improv - Pop Songs Level 2 - Eric Schackne - iO West
Youre making up songs, and they sound pretty great. Everybody thinks so. Yet, youre curious how to make future songs sound pretty greater. This workshop moves past the rigid structure that got your improv songwriting on its feet, and smoothes out the edges. Week one takes you back through song structure and function in finer detail, adding some new ways to build on simplicity. The second week works on two pairs of skills – beginnings/endings & leading/following. Week three delves into the wild world of fancy tricks and slick pop moves to prep your tool belt for heaps of song types. The only requirements are completion of Pop Songs Level 1 and a vested interest in ear-friendly musical makes ups. Taught by iOWest Musical Director Eric Schackne (323) 962-7560

Students will be accessed at their math level, then work to strengthen and improve their math ability, skills, and understanding. Take off on a robotics adventure featuring LEGO® models with working motors and sensors! Work in teams under guided instructions to build and program your models for a fun adventure. Student will get to build a different model each class, and learning is enhanced through use of laptops. Snapology programs provide a fun and safe environment for children to learn science, technology, engineering, math, and literacy concepts using LEGO® bricks and other similar building tools to teach children development skills and concepts of science. The children have so much fun building models and robots they hardly even realize its educational! This very popular camp incorporates imagination, movement, pantomime, music, dance and enchanting costumes to make for a wonderful summer experience. Each week we will explore a new theme, learn basic ballet, improve motor skills, complete an arts & crafts project and enjoy a yummy snack. Please have your child toilet trained as the insturctor will not change diapers. This camp meets one cay a week for two hours. You may sign up for as many days as you wish.
