Through daily exposure to textile media, campers explore new avenues of creativity, improve their dexterity, and make new friends while learning about historical and contemporary use of the fiber arts. In addition to structured class and craft time there is daily free play and outdoor time, weather permitting. Campers aged 11-12 visit TAC daily, for project-based classes inspired by their weekly field trip to a current textile related exhibition in New York. This 68 year old camp is designed for children from 2nd grade to 11th grade. The camp has a strong Jewish heritage which influences the activities they offer. My 12 year old son enjoys the friendly staff and the fun activities. He has grown in confidence while discovering who he is in relation to the community at large. 2016 RVA 6-8 yr. old Fishing Camp - Forest Hill Park
This week with Virginia Fishing Adventures offers campers the opportunity to learn the basics of freshwater fishing, from casting, to lure and bait choices, to the best places to catch fish. We fish mostly private ponds with this younger camp to ensure success. Safety is our number one priority, so all campers will wear life jackets when in the water or on a boat. Basketball - Basketball Camp - Jefferson County Community Center
5 days of basketball skills training, conditioning and strength training. During these 5 days the participant will go through various skills training exercises and drills to enhance their ability to play. The participant will train endurance by completing multiple basketball movement drills. Strength will be trained through multiple cardio heavy weight light weight compound movements and plyometric. Things like balance and stability will also be trained within the 5 day period.
