Ever wanted to learn how to create your own mobile app? Well here is your chance with App Creation and with Lafayettes Tech Coordinator, Mr. Wieand! Students will begin by learning some basics of computer science and block coding. As students develop skills we will begin using MITs App Inventor 2 to create apps compatible with Android devices. Week 3 - Bottle Rockets and Fantastic Science - Episcopal Day School
In this STEM camp students will design and construct a rocket out of ordinary materials. They will construct parachutes for the rockets and see how long it takes for the rockets to fall back to the ground after launch. Lenape Day Camp - Session I (Grades 1-6) - Community Middle School
Lenape Day Camp - Session I (Grades 1-6) Recreational camp provides a variety of activities such as arts and crafts, multi-cultural games, fitness, science, nature, and swimming. Field trips and special presentations are planned throughout the summer. Swim program is not optional. All campers will participate in a 1/2 hour American Red Cross swim lesson and a 1/2 hour of recreational swim each day. Registration is for full two-week session. Lenape cannot be combined with other specialty or sport camps offered by the Township. Pre and Post Camp care is offered at Millstone River School through WWP Community Education for an additional fee. Children enrolled in pre/post camp will be escorted by camp staff members between the two schools. Do you know how Geology, Archaeology & Paleontology are alike? Answer: They all involve digging in dirt to find answers about the past! In this camp, you will learn about fossils, dinosaurs, human history, artifacts, and Native American arrowheads, shells and pottery, rocks and minerals, and medicinal plants. Campers will have the time of their lives digging in dirt, painting with actual paint rock chunks from a quarry, and learning the secrets that our earth holds. Go on our archaeological dig, crack open a Geode, find dinosaur bones and other fossils, pan for gems & minerals, make sand painted medallions, and create your own real arrow.
