A few days to BE A KID AGAIN! Join us while we have a great week of fun and fellowship. WoodmenLife members and their spouses, ages 55 and up. Camp fee is ONLY $35 Trust me, these aren't "just old folks", we have a blast and do almost all the same activities the youth campers do! New for 2016 we have added a day trip to Millstone Creek Orchards in Ramseur, Thursday October 6th. Bus fair is sponsored by the Bessemer City Chapter 1286, and tickets are covered in your registration fee. Don’t forget to bring YOUR secret award winning dessert for our Home Cookin’ Cook Off. The winner will receive a prize from WoodmenLife. Bring your silent auction items, as we will be holding a benefit for the camp. Also we will participate in another food drive for our National Community Focus, FIGHT HUNGER! Items will be donated to a local shelter. Boys High School ID Soccer Camp - University of Redlands
This camp is open to any and all high school aged boys interested in continuing their soccer careers in college. It is designed for advanced player development and will give each player an opportunity to showcase their talents to the University of Redlands coaching staff. The coaching staff, led by Head Coach Ralph Perez, creates an environment of competition, self-confidence, motivation, and enjoyment. Each player will be challenged with a demanding training schedule using collegiate level training on first-class training facilities. Attending the University of Redlands High School ID Camp is one of the best avenues of exposure to college soccer. With a pro youll learn basic 2D scrolling-style game development techniques, moving into the Blender Game Engine to learn a modern 3D environment and to start using current game programming theory & procedures. Youll develop a concept & design it into your own game using open-source tools and industry standards. Youll test out each others games for accuracy and degree of fun to play! These 1 or 2 week sessions provide first time sailors aged 7-9 with the basics of sailing in a fun, safe and encouraging environment. Sailors will be using Prams, which are ideal for 2-3 sailors in 1 boat. Students will be taught the points of sail, basics of sailing upwind, downwind and between 2 points, along with sail trim, knot tying and general seamanship. We will accomplish this through a high-energy camp of hard work. Additionally, it is our hope that with the assistance of our experienced teaching staff, all of the young men attending NDP basketball camp will improve their conceptual understanding of the game of basketball. With a staff-to-player ratio of 1 to 9, we can guarantee each player individual attention throughout the week.
