Week V PM Play and Exploration - Franciscan Montessori Earth School
This camp, guided by the Montessori method, offers a mix of quiet play, story time, and outdoor activities that follow the rhythm of the child and the particular group. Activities may include play with clay, puzzles, and Legos; trips to the school library; nature walks; and harvesting snacks from the school garden. Children can nap if they need to. St. Thomas Ann Arbor - St.Thomas Catholic School
This a basketball camp for kids grades 4 - 8 emphasizing FAITH, FUN AND FUNDAMENTALS. Campers will be organized into groups and teams according to age level and ability in order to provide a positive learning experience. Campers will learn that the quest to develop as a basketball player "mirrors" the quest to develop as a Christian. Each day will begin and end with prayer. Junior Adventurers: Outdoor Explorers - Junior Adventurers!
Calling all junior adventurers for another summer of discoveries! In this half-day camp, your sons will enjoy all that The Heights campus has to offer. With beautiful stands of native tree species, numerous bird boxes, and a room full of past discoveries, there will be no lack for exciting new areas of learning. Two days will be dedicated to the animal kingdom – mammals, insects, reptiles and more. Another will focus on seeds and plants. – we cant live without them! Two days will also be devoted to experiments and discovery, bringing their knowledge to life. In the course of daily adventures around campus, campers will climb the trees theyve heard about and capture the insects theyve drawn. With a take-home booklet filled with artistic learning exercises, your son will be drawing on his discoveries from this camp for years to come! Does your child love science? And love to cook? This course is where cooking meets science! In this session, the campers learn about the science that goes behind cooking. But not all recipes are edible! The children will make lots of fun putties and slimes too! From growing yeast to building a radio out of a fruit to baking the yummiest science of all! The children will learn that their kitchen is filled with wonderful products that create some very explosive, gooey, slimy, fun and delicious science! We will build some unique items with basic things from our kitchen, make silly putty, arctic slime, and even play dough with your own scented design. Students build a sandcastle without ever stepping foot on the beach! They also change the properties of chocolate to make their very own chocolate bars! Camp Whetstone Session 5 - Whetstone Community Center
Here at Camp Whetstone our mission is simple...for kids to have a safe, fun, learning experience each and every week. Each week we will have a new theme that will correlate with the different activities and programs scheduled. Our campers always look forward to the large variety of field trips every summer, which could include: the Columbus Zoo, Zoombezi Bay, Columbus Clippers game, ice skating, Metro Parks, gem mining and swimming at Tuttle Pool.
