Tween/teen Yoga Camp - Camp Hill, PA
The focus for this program is to inspire and empower tweens and teens and to establish a deeper sense of self respect and self discipline so they can live a more balanced and fulfilled life. We will empower tweens/teens through journaling, breathing practices, meditation, aerial yoga and mat yoga. We'll have fun and learn to trust others and ourselves through partner yoga poses. Though drop in students are welcome, we encourage participants to enroll in the the entire four week program because each week we will build upon the lessons of the previous week. Camp runs 5-6:15pm on Tuesday, July 19 and 26th, August 9 and 16. Please note there is a break the week of August 2. A minimum of 4 students is required to run the program, so please register early! A refund will be given if the minimum number of participants is not met. There will be a maximum of 8 participants, based on the number of aerial yoga hammocks, so pre-registration is required. The CrossFit Apogee Teen Power Camp provides a fundamental fitness foundation for any high school student, scaled to anyone from first timers to high school athletes looking for structured off-season training or additional in-season work. The Teen Power Program will introduce athletes to bodyweight exercises, gymnastics, powerlifting and basic olympic weightlifting, all while under the supervision of a certified CrossFit instructor. Our program is designed to increase stamina, strength, power, endurance, coordination, balance, accuracy and flexibility in any person, all while in a team environment filled with positive people. Students will use basic drawing techniques to learn how to tell a story through pictures. While focusing on composition and design, students will explore how to communicate an idea through an illustration. Students will work with stories written by other students as part of the Grannie Annie project. At the end of the course, students will have the opportunity to submit an illustration for possible publication in Grannie Annie, Vol. 11. 314-628-1024

This class will explore all the interesting ways to create with and use paper. Students will be getting their hands dirty making their own paper. They will create their own stencils, bind their own journals, and create Calder inspired mobiles. Ahh, the natural world - a canvas of beauty that has enchanted artists since the beginning of time! Young artistes will learn how to paint ‘en plein air and travel to Georgia OKeeffe country for an overnight campout, using the light and landscape for inspiration. We will cool off in Abiquiu Lake in between art sessions before heading home to Santa Fe to complete our plein-air art adventure! 505-699-6230
