Super Heroes, Super Builders! - Hazen High School
The Super Heroes need your help to save the day! Create motorized vehicles using LEGO® components for the heroes to ride. Make the Batmobile, a flying craft for Supergirl, Captain Americas motorcycle, Iron Mans Quinjet, and the perfect ride for Spiderman. Each day, students have a mission to accomplish with the help of the project they build. We provide step-by-step instructions so students can incorporate motors and gears into their creations. Students then customize their projects and proceed on their missions. Students learn about the following mechanisms and systems as they build and play with their projects: •How gears control the speed and torque (power) of vehicles •How pulley systems transfer power to move objects •How you can change the direction of movement with bevel gears •How liftarms can be used to make strong attachments and add cool designs to creations •How to build fast-moving vehicles that stay together in crash tests •How to make Super Hero minifigures leap ten times their length in a single bound (really)! Musical Theater Performance Camp - Fine Arts Academy
Age: 6-High School Time: 9-4 June 27-July 1 Performance: Lilo and Stitch This camp will focus on learning singing, dancing and acting skills and then combine them into a mini performance of the production Lilo and Stitch. Extended Care- AM - Main Campus
Open to all camp participants, summer extended care will provide the same top-notch service and activity as the rest of our programs, while offering additional flexibility for working families. Summer Extended Care times AM: 7:30–8:30 AM PM: 3:00–4:00 PM Both morning and afternoon extended care sessions are available, but no mid-day care is available. For example, a child registered for a half-day morning camp may register for AM extended care (7:30–8:30 AM), but must still be picked up at the completion of the camp half-day at 11:30 AM. In the same way, an afternoon half-day camper may register for PM extended care (3:00–4:00 pm). Extended care sessions must be registered as an entire week, not by single days. Summer Extended Care Cost $40 per week, per block (full day campers who wish to have both extended care blocks will be charged $75 per week) * Any camper not picked up within 15 minutes of their daily camp completion will be sent to extended care, and a $10 fee will be charged.
