LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Musical Production: The Lion King - The Evergreen School
Two shows on Friday July 29th at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in The Evergreen Theater. Calling actors, singers, and dancers! The Evergreen School Summer Performing Arts Program is putting on a big show and we need your talent! In this two week production, students become members of a small cast, and each day is filled with fun activities that build skills for musical theater. This years show is The Lion King. Every student enrolled receives a copy of the music and the script in advance of rehearsals. Auditions take place on the first day of class. In this production, everyone will be strongly featured with solos for all. On the last day, July 29, in partnership with our Backstage Crew and Costume Crew classes, actors will present two big performances (3:00 pm and 7:00 pm) complete with sets, costumes and lights. Attendance is required for all days of these two weeks and at both shows. This successful summer program has a team of five experienced teaching artists all lead by Evergreens Vanessa Miller. It’s time to gear up for our 2015 All-Teen Camp at Prince’s Pine, August 16–22, a power-packed, fun-filled, God-glorifying time together. I need your help to get the word out. FlyKids Holiday Yoga Day Camp - Keller, TX
We realize this is a busy time of year. Let us take your kids for an afternoon so you can do your shopping, wrapping or anything that needs to get done without little eyes snooping or peeking in on you. Brickfilms - The Chapel School
Lights...Camera...Action! Students dream of having their favorite LEGO® characters come to life become a reality in our movie making class. Using stop-motion animation and digital post- production editing, students produce LEGO® Brickfilms much like the ones viewed on YouTube. Students learn about developing creative storytelling techniques, incorporating visual and audio special effects. This is a great class to take with friends. Join us for a very exciting and fun Creative Arts Camp! We will be exploring a variety of artistic styles including painting, pastels, textiles, collage and much more! One Day Prep Camp - Trienens Indoor Fieldhouse
NOTE: GOALKEEPER REGISTRATION IS FULL FOR THIS CAMP. We encourage your goalkeeper to attend the next One Day Prep Camp in June - details TBA. One Day Camp for those serious club and high school soccer players interested in playing college soccer in their future. Players are usually of high level but camp is open to all based only on age. The day is comprised of technical training, small sided games, full sided games, and a recruiting lecture by the Northwestern Coaching Staff. Counselor in Training (CIT) - New England Frontier Camp
The CIT Program is the capstone of the camping experience for young men. For decades, the CIT program at New England Frontier Camp has challenged young men physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually to refine and build their character. They are pushed and challenged in ways designed to grow their strengths and overcome their weaknesses. Our CITs will build leadership experience into their lives that they can carry with them into manhood. The program is a five week program, consisting of two weeks of Pre-Camp training with the staff, and the first week of summer program with some intensive activies and projects. CITs have the opportunity to acheive Red Cross certifications in Lifeguarding and First Aid. Then, during sessions of the summer camp program, CITs are placed in limited program activities and closely observed by the senior staff. Leadership Camp - Ensworth High School
This course develops leadership skills for middle school students in preparation for High School and beyond. Students spend time in discussion around Harkness Tables, in leadership sessions, in class learning from EHS teachers, participating in PE oriented competitions, and visiting with guest speakers. The leadership camp focuses on hands-on applied projects in various disciplines while covering topics such as public speaking, study skills, writing, technology, and organization. Students participate in team building activities while learning to delegate, rely on others, and practice decision-making skills.
