Advocacy Training for Pennsylvania Youth Recovery Campaign - Philadelp
The Pennsylvania Youth Recovery Campaign and The Bridgeway School would like to formally announce that legislation is officially being sponsored in both the House of Representative (Rep. John Taylor –[R] Philadelphia) and the Senate (Sen. Pat Browne -[R] Pennsylvania) to promote recovery high schools in Pennsylvania. When enacted, this bill will create an alternate class of school designated Recovery High School. These schools will be suited to address the educational and recovery support needs of high school age/eligible youth dealing with substance use disorders in Pennsylvania. These schools will ensure that students receive the tools necessary to retain long term recovery, achieve academic greatness, and promote family inclusion, support, and overall wellness through education and recovery. We need your help to raise awareness for, and champion this cause on behalf of all Pennsylvania Youth. Please also join us for an Advocacy Training event on February 25th and 7pm at The Bridgeway School. Through this training we will equip all supporters and stakeholders with the knowledge and tools to advocate in support of this vital legislation. Toys & Trinkets 3D Printing - The Evergreen School
3D printers have incredible uses, from building tools as-needed on the International Space Station to creating personal custom toys and jewelry. We have 3D printers in our new innovation BIG Lab! Well be using them all week creating toys and trinkets. Is your child looking for the perfect desk organizer? Or, do those model kits your child buys at the store not perfectly match his/her vision for the Dungeons and Dragons character they wish to create? Now is the time to design it and 3D print it! Students will be learning how to use 3D design software, setting up the 3D printer, and then executing their vision. 206-957-1533

Although most of your sons course schedule is standard for boys in his grade and thus predetermined, we must ascertain which math class (and also for some students, which foreign language class) will make the best fit. Therefore, we offer math and language placement tests during early summer. We also administer to new students a short English grammar diagnostic test. 901-260-1300

Our USA TRIATHLON CERTIFIED COACHES will make sure your child is well prepared for their kids triathlon! We will review their open water swim skills, and practice their bike, run, and transition skills right in their transition area and on their race course! Each child earns points for participating in our kids Prerace clinic and kids triathlon towards super series awards! Healthy post clinic refreshments and race goodies! EVENT DETAILS AND SCHEDULE Clinic is Saturday, Mar. 5, from 2:30-4:30p. Meet in gazebo by Bonelli Park, South Shores Parking lot near Transition Area/Race Expo Site. An email will be sent to each participant the week of the clinic with everything you need to know, bring, and do.
