Teen Rock Band Camp - Beacon, NY
Ages 13+ Tuesdays after school Sept 20 - Dec 6 All you have to do is join and you're in a band. Just like that. In our Rock Band Boot Camp for teens you start playing together on the very first day and you don't stop. It doesn't matter how much or how little experience you have. You'll learn how to rock out with others. While rocking out with your peers in the rehearsal studio, you'll get better at your instrument and develop your skills—and your swagger. Drumset Camp - 4th-8th grades - Wichita Collegiate School
Instructor: Hake Drumset Camp will be a week full of drum excitement! We will learn the basics of a drumset in rock and pop drumming and how to further your skills for playing with any type of group! We will learn how to read a drum chart, play along to music, and more. Music knowledge and experience are encouraged. There will be a beginner class and an intermediate class. The week will culminate with a performance on Friday afternoon where we will rock out as a group. *Players are welcome to bring their own drum kit. Week 5: Dare to…EXPERIMENT Just as the name implies, this week will be filled with outrageous experiments, slime of all sorts and a wee bit of silliness as we delve into the wacky world of science. Campers will put their lab coats on as they bust myths and create minor explosions... 6th - 9th grades - Yoga and Wellness - Saint Marys School
Come play yoga! During this simultaneously fun and calming week girls will learn about yoga, mindfulness training, and their selves. Each day we will move through yoga poses, sequences, and fun yoga games and crafts. Through yoga and mindfulness training students will begin to better understand themselves and the needs of those around them. We will work towards a positive self image and increased confidence through yoga and fun activities which allow one to care for the body. Each day will offer something new and fun such as manicures, henna tattoos, mandala coloring, and even mala making. The girls will keep their mala and be equipped with tools to continue their meditation work on their own. If you are looking for a fun week of crafts, games, learning, and relaxation this is the perfect camp for you! Calling all future Crime Scene Investigators! Campers will learn how law enforcement professional solve crimes and analyze evidence. Well use the tools used in the field to collect evidence from our mock crime scenes. Campers will learn how a crime is actually solved and learn how Biology, Chemistry and Physics plays a major role in the investigation! Campers use microscopes to analyze fibers, use facial composite software, and more! Sample Projects: Blood Analysis; Fiber, Handwriting, Fingerprinting, and DNA Analysis!
