Art Play: Theatre Workshop K-2 (Wednesday) - Janney Elementary School
Artplay! Theatre and fine art collide! Join us for a new exploration of art history using the body and voice. Create scenes and mini plays using classic paintings and sculpture as the basis for story-creation, characters, and setting. Though improvisation, cooperation, and movement exploration, students will craft their own masterpieces of theatre inspired by art! Sports Camp week 4- Soccer - Orchard Park Recreation
During the first hour of soccer camp, children will focus on the basic skills of soccer such as dribbling, passing, shooting and goal tending , as well as agility and foot-eye coordination. Goal tending will only be taught to those children who volunteer for this position. During the second hour, children will be able to eat a healthy snack and then participate in a series of cooperative games that will enhance their capabilities of being a good teammate and showing good sportsmanship. The third hour of soccer camp will be spent discussing the various rules of soccer such as hand ball, pushing and tripping, and playing modified games of soccer. Camp - Visual Arts S1 M-F 9:30 am (Ages 7-12) - Beck Center for the Arts
This activity may not be registered for individually because it is part of a package.Explore the world of visual arts and different mediums - painting, drawing, sculpturing, mask making, printmaking, and clay-while learning about different artists. Participate in designing and creating a clay tile mural that will be displayed at Beck Center. Students also have the opportunity to create individual clay projects. This camp is intensive in nature and divided into two classes per day. Participants should wear clothing that can get dirty during the creation of art. Create scenes and mini plays using classic paintings and sculpture as the basis for story-creation, characters, and setting. Though improvisation, cooperation, and movement exploration, students will craft their own masterpieces of theatre inspired by art! Sports Camp week 4- Soccer - Orchard Park Recreation
During the first hour of soccer camp, children will focus on the basic skills of soccer such as dribbling, passing, shooting and goal tending , as well as agility and foot-eye coordination. Goal tending will only be taught to those children who volunteer for this position. During the second hour, children will be able to eat a healthy snack and then participate in a series of cooperative games that will enhance their capabilities of being a good teammate and showing good sportsmanship. The third hour of soccer camp will be spent discussing the various rules of soccer such as hand ball, pushing and tripping, and playing modified games of soccer. Camp - Visual Arts S1 M-F 9:30 am (Ages 7-12) - Beck Center for the Arts
This activity may not be registered for individually because it is part of a package.Explore the world of visual arts and different mediums - painting, drawing, sculpturing, mask making, printmaking, and clay-while learning about different artists. Participate in designing and creating a clay tile mural that will be displayed at Beck Center. Students also have the opportunity to create individual clay projects. This camp is intensive in nature and divided into two classes per day. Participants should wear clothing that can get dirty during the creation of art. Supplies provided. 3 Weeks; Mon - Fri; 9:30 am - 12 pm; Tuition: $335; Bring a snack. A Campers Art Exhibition will take place on the final day of camp, July 1 at 11:30 am. Cant wait until summer to hang out with your camp friends? Now you dont have to - sign up for our new Jr/Sr High Retreat on April 22-23. Youll be challenged by the theme of FUELED: BY GRACE. FOR OBEDIENCE. There will also be awesome worship, some engaging classes on a variety of topics, and of course all the things you love about camp: recreation, camp fire, friends, and all around fun. This is also a great opportunity to introduce your friends to camp who might not want to jump into a whole week - bring them for a short weekend and help them get their feet wet at Oak Hill. Learn the fundamentals of computer music production through a series of hands-on projects and challenges designed to promote creativity, problem solving and technical abilities. Campers will learn about MIDI, digital audio, microphones, looping, mixing, effects, DIY musical instruments and more!
