The Farm Hands program is a great camp experience for kids that love to be outside working in the garden or learning how to care for our farm animals. Activities can vary from day to day because we work with the rhythm of the working farm. The sibling week was created a number of years back in response to feedback from parents that wanted their multi-aged children to attend together. You dont need to have a sibling or even a friend to register for sibling week, just be excited for making new friends of all ages. One of the most popular aspects of sibling week is that children are offered more choices of what activities to choose each day so they can create their own camp experience. Adolescents today face the competing demands of doing well in school, being popular, developing close relationships with friends and romantic partners, and appearing sexually attractive to others. Each of these challenges is affected by stereotypes about what is considered desirable or undesirable for each gender. Sexism occurs when these stereotypes constrain the self-image and aspirations of girls and boys. What are the most powerful influences in teen sexism – family, peers, school, music, social media. How are these influences and the stereotypes they promote affecting teen relationships and school success? Do you worry about their effects on your children? Campbell Leaper, Professor and Department Chair of Psychology at UC Santa Cruz, and co-founder of the Gender Development Research Conference, is an expert on gender ideologies, self-concept, sexism, and gender bias in schools. He will talk about the ways that gender stereotypes affect girls’ and boys’ self-image, relationships, and school success. Cross Country Running Camp - Offsite Location
Camp open to boys and girls entering grades 3 - 8 Instructor: Ryan Robinson, Amy Mc Neil and Michelle Robinson Enjoy the experience of running on Waterfords acclaimed Cross Country course at Hess-Hathaway Park. Under the tutelage of veteran teachers/coaches, boys and girls will learn the joy of an exercise program revolving around cross country running can bring with a group of running companions. Camp will be structured to fully include beginners as well as experienced runners and will include elements suitable to all campers. Camp includes a t-shirt and refreshments. The camp will run every Tuesday and Thursday. GRADES 3 - 8 LOCATION Hess Hathaway Park at Offsite Location INSTRUCTOR WSD Athletics

Please come out this summer and spend the day with Coach Will Coley and his staff. Coach Coley is the varsity boys coach at St. Davids School. He has played at the collegiate level and also has 10 years experience at the professional level in Europe. This summer we are offering a full day of basketball! Hours now go from 9am to 4pm. Students will be taught and exposed to the fundamentals of basketball starting at the basics and building up to the more advanced skills. There will be numerous games and contests ranging from shooting to 3 on 3 to 5 on 5 games. Students will be broken up into age groups and skill levels. Whether you are the beginning player or the player who plays every day we are sure that we will have something to challenge you. Trophies and certificates will be given at the conclusion of camp.
