Celebrating 57 years of creating lifelong friends, long lasting memories, and a deep respect and love for nature, Foothills Fun Camp is back for another incredible summer in the great outdoors. Each session includes pre and post camp, which means campers can be dropped off anytime between 7:30am-9:45am, and picked up anytime between 3-6pm (drop-off and pickup location is at the Girl Scout House). Using exciting hands-on LEGO® MINDSTORMS® components and renewable energy add-ons, campers explore and understand renewable energy sources, including: solar energy, wind energy and hydro energy, as well as the functionality and capability of solar cells, wind turbines and hydro-electric power plants. Theyll explore energy supply, transfer, accumulation, conversion and consumption; design and build models and observe the behavior of their models. This is an advanced robotics course and campers should have some experience working with LEGO® MINDSTORMS® components. Campers with no experience should attend Camp Deep Space Robotics.
