Classroom: D-8 Instructor: Active Reading Center () This reading class is designed for first and second grade students who have difficulty learning to read in traditional environments. We utilize play activities that help emerging readers learn letter sounds, and blend those sounds into words. All teaching is done by trained teachers from the Active Reading Center. A brief evaluation of each students abilities will be provided at the end of the session. Students may be recommended for work with a reading teacher on a one-on-one basis. NFL Alumni Players & Cheerleaders Caring for Kids Campaigns - Jacksonv
The JVC TV Fundraiser program is in coordination with JVC, the NFL Alumni's mission of "Caring for Kids" and the NFL Play 60 Program, a program that promotes the idea of 60 minutes of exercise a day for kids of all ages. The fundraiser consists of two JVC TV’s, an HD 55” and the other an HD 65”. Only 300 tickets will be available exclusively on our web site for $20 each or 3 for $50. Each ticket has the opportunity to win one of the two TVs. Once the 300 tickets are sold no more will be available. It will be a first come, first serve event. The first ticket that is drawn will win the 55” TV, then the second ticket drawn will win the 65” TV. The grand drawing will be held during our 4th Quarter NFL Alumni "Meet & Greet", Nov. 19 6pm to 9pm, scheduled to be located at the BoneFish Grill in Jacksonville Beach. The drawing itself will be scheduled for 8pm.

We will be teaching a variety of skills and drills including motions, jumps, stunting, sideline cheers and tumbling. In addition to skills we will play exciting cheer games, decorate/create bows to take home and compete for the lucky cheer stick! Participants will also go home with a camp tee shirt. PTHC Kid's Camp-Volunteers Urgently Needed! - Philadelphia, PA
On June 4th, 5th, and 6th, the Philadelphia Convention Center will be host to the annual Philadelphia Trans-Health Conference, the country's largest gathering of transgendered individuals, families, allies, and caregivers. Part of the festivities is the Kid's Camp, where we endeavor to provide safe, affirming, and awesomely fun activities to the children attending the camp. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we are low on volunteers on Friday afternoon and evening and all day Saturday. If you are available any portion of the day Friday from noon to 7 p.m. or Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and can supply a valid child abuse clearance (within the last 2 years), please message me. I volunteered at the Kid's Camp of PTHC last year, and it was a truly amazing experience! I hope you'll consider joining us! Please also consider sharing this message!

How much water can fit on penny? Can you stir up floating bubbles and puffy foam? Join this camp to explore the physics of things that fall, float, and flutter and the chemistry of solutions that are slippery, sticky, and slimy. Design a cardboard box fort, tinker with a marble run, and experiment with incline planes. Future engineers will be constructing, propelling, and stirring all sorts of contraptions. This camp is perfect for the preschooler that enjoys building and tinkering. Growing Scientists must be at least 3 years old by June 1, 2016, potty trained and able to use the bathroom independently.
