Youth Softball & Baseball Fundamentals Camp by Josh Newman - South Web
Instructor : Josh Newman currently the Assistant Baseball Coach for Marshall University and formerly with the Colorado Rockies and the KC Royals. This camp is open to all boys and girls, ages 7-12 in all school districts. Josh will be covering the fundamentals of the game for softball and baseball. Advance Registration and payment must be received no later than June 6th to guarantee a spot at camp and a tshirt. *Early Registration is $35 per athlete and must be received by June 1st and includes lunch and a tshirt. *after June 1st Group registration of 10 or more players for $45 per player and $40 for siblings. Each group of 10 will receive the 11th player free. We request that your 11th player be need based. Individual Registration fees are $50 for the first child and $40 for each additional child in the same family. Please make checks payable to South Webster Little League. ACADEMIC - INTRODUCTION TO ROBOTICS - Notre Dame Academy
This course will teach students the basics of the history of robotics, along with key components of robots and how they developed over time. Following completion of short web research work, students will work in teams to learn to build robots, to program them and to use various sensors to make them "smart." As students progress, using Lego Mindstorm EV3 kits, they will learn to create more "sophisticated" robots that can do things the simpler ones cannot. Students will be graded on their knowledge of robot history and their components, as well as on their ability to complete specific exercises with the robots. This "hands-on "course is not only fun, but is a great learning experience! STUDENTS MAY ACCRUE NO MORE THAN TWO, (2), ABSENCES IN ORDER TO RECEIVE CREDIT FOR THIS COURSE. ***CREDIT IS GUARANTEED FOR NDA STUDENTS ONLY. POST CAMP PROGRAM The fun of camp lasts a week longer at a new location. A scaled down version of the popular Tons-O-Fun camp with a focus on games, sports, arts & crafts, swimming, & camper choice based activities. Experience new thrills with theme days, special events & new activities exclusive to the Post Camp program! With limited enrollment your child will get lots of attention from staff and is a great way to gear up or wind down from our traditional camp program.
