Trivia Night for Jacaranda Youth Camp - Moline, IL
The Republican Women of Rock Island County are sponsoring a fun trivia night for the benifit of the Jacaranda Youth Camp, a basketball camp that will be taking place later this year in Nairobi, Kenya! More information can be found at this link. www.gofundme.com/nairobibasketball The evenet will be held at MGT New Hope in Moline, 2305 7th Ave at 6:30 on Saturday, June 11th. Please come out and support not only the team going to the Jacaranda Community (http://jacarandacommunity.com/) but also the RWRICo as we get the priveledge of blessing another community! The program works collaboratively with Schools and Community Centers to develop comprehensive youth development strategies for underserved, school aged youth. The Aaron Brooks Drills and Skills mission is to empower at-risk youth to become successful citizens by providing a nurturing environment where they will develop their academic, civic, and leadership skills while improving their basketball skills. PLT Academy, 2nd Semester - Pensacola Little Theatre
It is time for our 2nd semester of the Academy to begin! ( This is a year long program. Do not register for this class unless you are a current Academy student from fall 2015 ) This semester we focus on creating a production from beginning to end ( including set design, production coordination, marketing. outreach, etc. ) This course will also give the acting students a chance to channel some of the acting skills they learned into their character in the show. ***We will be performing one acts titled : " The Waiting Room" and " The Other Room" These performances will be open to the public.
