Camp Yakety Yak (CYY) is a 501c3 organization that was created in 2010 to help children with special needs (e.g., Autism, ADHD, Intellectual Disability) grow socially and emotionally by improving their communication skills. Our educational mission is twofold: 1) provide instruction in social & emotional skills to children (ages 6-11) with special needs & their siblings to support friendship development in a day camp setting and 2) provide an opportunity for future professionals in educational and therapeutic fields to gain knowledge and hands-on experience in working with children with special needs. Eighty percent of our staff members are students from local universities and high schools who receive 30 hours of training and ongoing supervision by our professional faculty. 9713033901.0

Campers will perform experiments to demonstrate weightlessness in space. They will explore variations between gravity on earth and gravity in space, examine the impacts of weightlessness on the human body, and investigate weather patterns on the moon. They will learn how astronauts prepare for the extreme temperatures in space.Campers will perform experiments to illustrate the blackhole, make a "ghost" appear in a bottle as part of a meteorology activity, explore what happens when air masses collide, and build and use several weather instruments. Discover Scuba - CV High School Pool
Supervisor: West Shore Scuba. Students will learn how to correctly put on and adjust their equipment, control their breathing and get accustomed to being underwater and using scuba equipment. They will put their new found skills to use while performing Aqua Missions underwater. In addition to their water time, the students will continue their learning out of the pool and discuss marine biology. The only items that you will need to bring with you are a bathing suit, a towel and a release form. This camp is conducted by West Shore Scuba, a PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) dive center.
