The Setter/Hitter Camp is for athletes entering grades 6-12. This camp is ideal for athletes who have established themselves as a setter or hitter and want to improve on one of these skills. The sessions focus specifically on improving advanced hitting or setting techniques for improved execution during game situations through excellent, intensive training. Come in costume to enjoy Trick or Treating as we transform Homestead Village into Hogsmeade, the legendary all-wizard community in the Harry Potter books. Teen World Ministries will be holding its 22nd Annual Bible Camp the week of June 7-13, 2015 at Promise Camp & Retreat Center in Clinton, PA. We are excited that the long awaited new dining hall at Promise Camp has completed construction and will be ready for our use. Our camp theme for the week is "The Whole Armor of God" with Ephesians 6:11 & 6:13 being our theme verses. Camp Speaker for the week will be Toby Mattern, 2015 Graduate of Malone University in Youth Ministry. We will be memorizing and studying the Book of Ephesians (ESV 2011 Text) chapters 5 & 6 during the week. Teen World Bible Camp is open to all youth entering grades 5-12 in the 2015-2016 school year and 2015 high school graduates. Registration Fee for camp is $155 .There is a $10 per camper Family Discount for siblings attending camp as campers. Pre-register for a 2:15pm audition time for Peninsula Youth Theatres CENTERSTAGE production of "SEUSSICAL." Registration guarantees you a spot in the 2:15pm audition group. You must be age 8-18 or have prior executive director approval. Children must be 8 by 3/17/16 to participate. PLEASE NOTE: TO KEEP YOUR SPOT you must arrive by 1:45pm with your paperwork completed for check in and measurements. If you have not arrived by 2:00pm your spot will be given to someone on the waiting list and you will be moved to the next available audition slot. We cannot guarantee that that will be the next audition group. Boys Sports Camp with Coach Tom Myran - Germantown Friends School
The focus of Boys Sports Camp is on learning and competing in team sports, including basketball, soccer, baseball, flag football, floor hockey, and volleyball. In addition, campers also will take part in a variety of traditional games such as dodge and whiffle ball as well as individual sports such as tennis, wrestling, and track and field. Team-building, self-awareness and interpersonal skills will also be a focus. Our passionate and professional coaching team under the leadership of GFS Boys Varsity Track Coach Tom Myran will help participants become more skillful and confident athletes. Even more importantly, campers will have a terrific time making new friends and bonding with their upper school athlete-counselors whose job it is to reinforce the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and doing ones best on a daily basis. Swims at the Germantown Cricket Club add to the summertime fun!
