Denim and buttons and t-shirts, oh my! In this class campers will make all kinds of upcycled creations using discarded fabrics and sewing notions. Whether theyre an experienced sewer or crafter and enjoy working alongside others OR are interested in learning how to do any/all of these things, this is the class for them. 6 - 14 year olds are invited to participate in Yuba Sutter Arts first Kid's Art, Music, Movement and Acting (KAMMA) Camp, July 18th - July 22nd daily from 9am - 3:30pm. Kid's will take part in a well-rounded variety of artistic activities. At the end of the week, on Friday, July 22nd, an art show and performance will be held at 6pm in the Lee Burrows Center For the Arts, Theater. Full and half-day registrations are available. Please join us for a week of serious Bible study. We are inviting men aged 18 and older to come and study God’s word together with us. The men who will present lessons are all devoted to the word of God and to teaching that word to others. The classes will be designed to be a particular help to those who are preachers and teachers but all are welcome to come. Each day we we will have six sessions with each speaker having about an hour to present. Each evening, our speakers will form a panel for a question and answer session. Our plan is to have everyone arrive on Monday evening in time for supper. Our studies will begin on Tuesday morning and go through Friday evening. We have enough room for everyone to stay overnight at the camp location. We will be providing meals and snacks throughout the week. To cover these expenses as well as utilities for the facility, we are charging a $75 fee.

We will be helping to restore the wetland habitat by removing invasive weeds, spreading mulch, and planting native trees and shrubs! $15 fee to participate includes staff supervision and transportation to service projects.

So long as humans have existed on this planet, microbes have coexisted with us. Theyve lived in our bodies and thrived in the environment, posing a silent and constant threat. Theyve caused fevers and panic, helped with digestion and immunity. In this introductory course in human microbial disease, students will be introduced to the impact that various microbes have had in our lives. Students will learn the principles and methods of disease investigation: investigating patterns of illness in populations, identifying infectious microbes by visual assessment, mode of infection, and symptoms.
