This is our HALF DAY option for Young Scientist. This stimulating camp offers an incredible collection of projects and experiments that will amuse and amaze your little scientist! By being involved with several hands-on activities your child will explore the basic scientific ideas that play a role in everyday life. Campers will also learn how the scientific method helps give us the answers to our many questions. Well be very busy in this camp while exploring projects and experiments in topics such as chemistry, physics, engineering, biology, and MORE! This camp is perfect for the most curios little scientists, ages 4 and 5. Sample Projects: Glowing firefly, Seashell necklace, Slime Creation, Water Bottle Rocketry. 9B. Summer Camp - Java Game Programming - 5 Days - Gizmos & Gadgets Kids Lab
Students will learn about project design, object-oriented programming, console applications, graphics applications and many elements of the Java language. Along the way students will build on what they learn each day. This includes learning how to program frames, colors and programming moving objects. The week begins with simple programming until it builds by the end where students will be able to create the game of pong in Java. No programming experience is necessary but doing common tasks on a computer is useful. Who knows, maybe you have the next Bill Gates or Steve Jobs living in your house and you never knew it!
