The year 2015 will mark the 48th year that Saint Marys College will be offering outstanding Athletic Summer Camps to children between the ages of 6-18. Saint Marys was one of the first institutions in Northern California to offer residential day camps specializing in athletics. Nestled in the plush Moraga Valley, Saint Marys College is one of the most picturesque campuses on the West Coast. Our summer camps provide a convenient location. Children have the luxury of having camp right in their own backyard or may have a chance to get away for a true camp experience as a resident camper and live like college students, with a roommate, in spacious resident halls. These accommodations and most camps are complemented by delicious meals served by Sodexho Services. This distinguished food service provides a buffet with a variety of healthy and nutritious foods. Saint Marys College is very fortunate to have some of the finest collegiate coaches in the area. Each head coach selects and trains his/her own staff of top level coaches and collegiate players. Dr. Who Camp - Ohlook Performing Arts Center
Are you a Whovian? Then this is the camp for you. Camp will combine stage crafts and techniques while reenacting some of your favorite Dr. Who episodes featuring some of the best Dr. Who bad guys and including of course, the Daleks. 6th - 9th grade girls: Creative Writing - Saint Marys School
During this camp week, we will have daily practice in following a process which should result in several creative writings projects. Each of the students writing projects will be evaluated. A big part of a successful creative writing class is being able to both give and receive constructive criticism; therefore, participation will be encouraged. Phyllis Monroe is a lover of anything related to language arts: words, phrases, clauses, paragraphs, essays, and formal research. Having taught all age groups- elementary, middle, and high school- she knowa that each grade/student will have different writing abilities; however, all age groups should follow basic guidelines for good writing. Creative writing can be the most enjoyable genre because the focus is less on the mechanics of capitalization and punctuation and more on choosing interesting and unique word choices which represent individual writing styles. 9194244028.0

KODA Youth Girls (Ages 13–16) - Camp Mark 7
Camp Mark Seven offers a place where hearing children of Deaf parents could come together to learn about, and better understand the two worlds that they simultaneously live in, and where they could explore, identify, and strengthen their unique C/KODA identities and develop individually as leaders. All of this would occur, ideally, in a recreational camping environment that would foster a lot of interaction and activities for each child and youth. Program activities: Swimming and tubing. Paddle a canoe on the chosen rivers/lakes and camp out under the stars. Low ropes course. Diverse outdoor games. Arts & crafts. Hike different mountains. Evening Bonfires. Were going back to the Beach! An entire summer camp inspired by a tropical holiday. Well use sand clay & watercolors to make beach-inspired art, sculpt pottery hermit crabs, create our own shades with colored lenses and make a transparent jellyfish sculpture.
