CentrKid Camp Meeting - Glen Allen, VA
Eric and I will be getting everyone together in the New Fellowship Hall for one last meeting before we go to camp. We will re-visit each camps departure and return times, money that is needed, packing lists, camp commissioning services, rules and expectations etc. If you have not turned in your paperwork or deposits, this will be your last opportunity to do so. If you still need your paperwork notarized, I will take care of that for you at the meeting. All Chaperones, Parents and Campers are welcome. The CentriKid Camp has four openings if your camper would like to invite their friend. Non Hunton Campers will need to pay the full fee for camp of $336. Please let me know by this Sunday's meeting as I will need to drop these 4 slots by May 1st if we are not going to use them. If you have any questions call/text me at 387-7111.
Tween / Teen 15″x20″ Canvas and Wood Wall Sign Workshop CAMP – $40 - P
Join us at Anders Ruff Workshop in Pineville for our Teen/Tween CAMP (Ages 10+). Create a preppy and charming 15″x20″ customized canvas and wood wall hanging! In this workshop, you will start with bare canvas and leave with a customized canvas wall hanging flanked with wood stretchers in any color combination you choose. Choose from our line of home decor paints in the class. Pick from a monogram silhouette design choice above. This is a drop off workshop for teens and tweens. Safety waivers to be signed upon drop off.
CBMM’s Kids Club summer camps for 6-7 Year Olds - Saint Michaels, MD
Beginning June 20 and continuing through July 29, the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is offering its week-long, half day Kids Camps, which bring age-appropriate Chesapeake-themed camps for children 4-7 years of age. Led by a CBMM educator, young Kids Club campers explore the magic of the Chesapeake Bay’s people, animals, and watercraft through fun and interactive activities, stories, games, and crafts. CBMM’s summer camps for children 4-5 years of age are offered during the weeks of June 20, July 4, and July 18; camps for children 6-7 years of age are offered the weeks of June 27, July 11, and July 25. Daily camps take place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with campers meeting at CBMM’s Dorchester House and exploring the museum’s 18-acre campus and numerous exhibition buildings as part of the program. Participation is limited, with camps filling fast and pre-registration required. The cost for the week-long camp is $125 for CBMM members, or $150 for non-members, with scholarships available. Have an awesome summer at BlackRock and be part of a great team. This is an opportunity for students entering grades 9-12 to earn Student Service Learning hours and develop great leadership and supervision skills assisting campers between the ages of 4 ½ and 13. Experience working with children and an interest in visual art, drama, music or dance is preferred. CITs must be committed to attending their entire session and take part in a training to participate in the program. Please select one of three MANDATORY Training Dates when you register: Sunday, May 22nd from 2pm-5pm, Wednesday, June 1st from 5pm-8pm or Sunday, June 19th from 2pm-5pm. The camp will feature age- appropriate conditioning and training to prepare individuals both physically and mentally, for the next level of athletic competition.
