Adventure Tennis Camp - Off Site Location
Tennis 3.5 hours per day Adventure 2.5 hours per day During the first part of the day, campers join our regular tennis camp and have lunch. Children will be divided by level and develop tennis strokes, rallying skills, and age appropriate competitive play. Campers learn teamwork, make friends and enjoy fun games like Angry Birds Tennis, Skyball, and Big Kahuna. All camps feature Higgins Bucks, Water Fun Day (no swimming) and the Higgins Bucks Store where children buy prizes on Fridays. In the afternoons we set out on an Adventure! Adventures include: Flyers Day: Build a kite or glider and fly them at Blackies Builders Day: Make a Native American mat or basket, or a model airplane Hiking Days: Along Blackies Shore and up to "Hippie Tree" Board Game Mania ACTIVITY OTHER CATEGORY 3. Here is a great opportunity for boys and girls to learn new basketball skills and improve on existing skills, all while getting a workout. Camp Director, Sean Birdsong, has been around the game of basketball for most of his life. The son of former NBA All-Star, Otis Birdsong, Sean played locally at Bonner Springs High School and collegiately at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO. Sean has also played at the professional level in the CBA, PBL, and NBA D-League workouts. Each participant will receive a camp t-shirt. Our "Excellence Team" is designed for those players who are actively competing in sectional and national tournaments. Typically, this includes high school varsity and ranked players. Depending on the training period, practices will consist of different proportions of dead-ball drilling, live-ball hitting, situational point play, and match play. *Entrants must sign up for a minimum of 3 days per week.* 904-256-5071
