Spring Into Summer Fit Camp - Antioch, TN
This will be a 4 week event. Workouts will last for 1 hour and they will be full body workouts. Everyone will need their own yoga mat, jump rope, 2 3-8 lbs weights, water, and towel. Beginning Burlesque with Sasha Sullivan - Ah Haa School for the Arts
Burlesque is a celebration of femininity. Women of all ages come together for a fun-filled journey into this incredible art form, ultimately empowering their creative, sensual, feminine beings. Telluride Theatres own Sasha Sullivan and Melissa Harris, who have been teaching burlesque classes for four years, are excited take new students on an eight-week journey into the world of burlesque. They will start with the basics – the history, dance moves, striptease, creating a character, and owning your space. Students will develop their very own burlesque character and walk away with a full routine, a set of pasties, and a portrait. At the close of the class, some students will be chosen to perform at BURLESQUE, a live variety show on the Sheridan Opera House stage at the end of March, a benefit for Telluride Theatre. Learn how to speak the language of computers! Campers will dive into the exciting world of computer coding through Scratch, developed by MIT. Scratch is a block-based application designed to make it simple for anyone to learn programming. Throughout the camp, coders create projects like an epic space battle game or a "choose your own adventure" story! The possibilities to create are endless!
